Problem with AVG 8.0 update

Featured Replies

Is it just me or is AVG 8 trying to update to the latest versions of it's files and getting an error saying something like "A .bin file is missing"?

It's fixed itself, so there must have been a problem with that download.

I wished I stayed with 7.5, as version 8 hogs resources with it's resident shield, but give it a couple months and support will end for 7.5 ;)

Makes sense though, in terms of updates.

I've been trying to update it for ages... but it doesn't do anything, it just starts checking for updates and never moves on from there

Mine tells me daily that it needs updating, but if I actually update, it restarts the PC then says "AVG requires an update" if you click yes, it restarts and then tells you again that it needs an update

very annoying

I've had problems with it starting up never mind updating itself. Must be Vista again :dozey:

Mine updates itself once a week,no worries...vista is like a big bug that flies around your head.
