June 4, 200917 yr We took West Virginia history in 8th grade... It's weird how different schools operate around the country. Woah that's kinda neat! Although none of the information they give us is useful. Like for Texas History we learn about barbed wire and cattle drives. :dozey:
June 4, 200917 yr i don't know what my schedule will be like next year. the british system is SO different than the american one :freak:. i signed up for 15 classes, as i was required to do, and of those 15, they pick five for me :dozey:. i just hope they pick the good ones, and the two that i NEED to take to graduate.
June 4, 200917 yr Well, this year is nearly over, and I'm on an exam schedule now, but I had: Gym Algebra II/Trigonometry Teacher's assistant French III Digital Photography/Graphic Design Chemistry English II Next year I'll be taking: Advanced US History Pre-calculus Physiology Honors English III Independent Portfolio French IV ...although I don't know the order of next year's classes yet!
June 4, 200917 yr i've said this before in this thread, but i can't imagine having the same order of classes every stinking day! doesn't that get boring?! my high school just had the classes in a different random order every day of the week, and in college, for the most part, tuesday and thursdays are the same and MWFs are similar. but every day...i think i'd get so bored having the same order! :P

I really wish we had a block schedule!
June 4, 200917 yr I had 13 subjects, and a different daily schedule, sometimes I had to moved from a classroom to another one... I might scan my schedule later
June 4, 200917 yr I dunno how people handle linear schedules (like 8 classes at a time). I'd go bananas.
June 4, 200917 yr ^personally, i didn't find it so bad when you have a lot of short periods. honestly, i get bored with three or four long classes each day :P. this year i only had 3 classes for most of the semester, and even though it gave me some free time, it was really weird :P

But I can't even remember my homework for 3 classes. 8 would be absurd. I know what you mean about the spare time. Last semester I had two real classes, one spare block, and one block of peer tutoring which I skipped half the time. Sometimes I'd be sitting there for like 3 hours not doing a thing but bumming around.
June 4, 200917 yr i think i would have loved that in high school. free periods with my friends were so much fun. in university...blergh . i want to do more so i can get out of there faster :P.
June 4, 200917 yr american studies. i like my major ok, but i'm so sick of academia for a while, and i'm not cut out for the university lifestyle.

Besides the German and political science, I'd be like, "lol, fuq dis" and then I'd throw myself off a bridge. :laugh3: But I'm guessing you're good at the things you took, so it's probably no problem for you. xD
