Chris Martin’s Viva La cleaner

COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN insists he will never smash up a hotel room – because he used to clean them.

The rocker, 31, said: “When you’re a cleaner and you walk into a trashed room, it’s truly annoying. All you want to do is go on your tea break – and you get faced with that.”

Chris has seen the latest Coldplay album Viva La Vida go to No 1 in more than 30 countries.

But he begged trash-happy celebs: “Spare a thought for the poor schmuck cleaning the room.”

Where does he sleep so if he can't in the hotel ...?

Aww :nice:

That is all I can say :laugh3: I'm a bit messy but hopefully not trashing room messy

He used to clean them...

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has urged his fellow musicians not to trash hotel rooms.

Martin, who used to clean hotels, said it was “truly annoying” to walk into a room that had been trashed.

“All you want to do is go on your tea break – and you get faced with that,” he said. “Spare a thought for the poor schmuck cleaning the room.”

As previously reported on Gigwise, Coldplay will head out on a UK tour in support of their new album 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends' in December.

Thank you, Chris!

I used to work for a while in a hotel. And it's really annoying.

Now I'm glad I use to clean my hotel room myself too. Haha ok, but probably it has more to do with my OCD.

i think some times in my hotel room where i stay when there are no cleaners i does it myself.

Aw good ol' Chris! :D

awwww. what a cutie.

wow. can you imagine that coming to your door saying "housekeeping"? :stunned:

:sneaky:!

I would first be :stunned: then :D then :sneaky:

I never understood why they sometimes got criticized for not being rock n' roll enough, like trashing hotel rooms.I don't know, it's a really rude and stupid thing to do cause someone's gonna have to clean up after you. It's because you're in a band that should ever be allowed to do it.

oh well...

Good Chris!

Maybe, he could help me when I clean my house

:smug: :P :smug: :P

Chris is always so considerate

Plus I don't think Gwyneth would be too happy if he was always making messes:P

Now all he does is sweep the strees he used to own ;)

I bet he doesn't leave his dirty socks on the floor at home either.

He's so humble and considerate - just another of hundreds of reasons why i love him so much :wacky: :nice:
