He's such an amazing musician, I love his style how he plays with the Chilis and then his solo work is so mellow and beautiful, he puts so much emotion into his music and oh well I just thought he needed his own thread, some personal favourite moments:

i will be soon. mainly the cover versions he does at rhcp gigs. and some mind blowing solo's and jams with flea and chad. make jonny buckland look like his never seen a guitar in his life.

Aw you're missing out on his solo work, it's really beautiful too :), I really like the Throw Away Your Television solo from Live in Hyde Park too.

Don't get my brother started on John Frusciante, he's based his whole aesthetic on the the opening shot of "under the bridge". He has several of those floppy hats and for christmas requested a red-striped shirt like the video (he got a similar looking one and made some touches to it). he's also a big kurt cobain fan, so the jag works in nicely :D.

I think I have to be one of the few people who doesn't actually like Under the Bridge that much and be an RHCP fan, his solo stuff is unbelivably different to his stuff with the band but I like it too, it's really good that people have really sat up and noticed him talent wise after Stadum Arcadium as the guitar work throughout is amazing, some of us have always known how good he is, now it seems a lot more people do :)

 

I don't think I've seen him play a Jag for ages, 90% of the time he seems to use a Strat and occasionally his vintage Tele, I think I remember reading he's dropped the White Falcon from his touring guitars now too?.

nah he still uses the White Falcon (which he bought for about 30 000 bucks) for Otherside. The moment he brought out that guitar was the highlight of the night i saw RHCP.

 

is his Jag red? cos yeh i havent seen him play that since their greatest hits tour. and the Tele he uses only on Fortune Faded

He has a Fiesta Red Jag,(the turquoise one got stolen in the 90s)not seen him use it in ages though, 90% of the time he uses his Olyimpic White or Sunburst Strats.

No I think that was Anthony who sold the Rolling Stone guitar, I'm pretty sure I remember reading John saying he had a Jag stolen from a hotel room or something?.

I guess I can hang out here, I freaking love john's playing, He's the best guitarist for me, he's made some amazing riffs and his solos and all the jamming live IT'S INCREDIBLE

I heard I Feel Love live when I went to Hyde Park in '04, that was an amazing concert:D

sadly i lost all of my Hyde Park pics as i stored them on my comp which died a couple of years ago without backing up:cry: I heard The Leverage of Space which was awesome but I think they did Rolling Sly Stone on a different night, I prefer Leverage out of the 2 anyway so I was happy:D

you're such a lucky girl. i was in hyde park this summer on wireless fest.. it cant compare with anything but i imagined that i'm on rhcp concert even it was jay-z :D hahah
