On the last RHCP double album I love the moment in the song "Readymade" when Anthony says:

"clean it up, Johnny!"

then Frusciante starts the solo and he does!!!

I love Shadow Collide With People

I have Curtains too which is awesome

Personally I would say the Will to Death or To Record Only Water for 10 Days:)

so there is any news of a new album? because his been off tour with the chili peppers for over a year now and knowing john he can never stop recording music so im surprised i havent anything from him yet.

I'm sure I read he was working on some new material somewhere but it may have been an old article I can't remember now.

chili peppers have extended their hiatus to two years now meaning that john will be working on solo stuff til the end of next year. i hope he visits australia for some shows!!

It sucks that thier not making a new album for 2 years but on the plus side it will mean John will be releasing some solo stuff which is equally as good in my opinion.

Ah at least I have the new SP album to look forward to in 2009 if the rumours are true.

It's nice to see him starting to use electrics on his solo work more now, I can't wait for the new album:D

totally appreciate John. his work with the Peppers speaks for itself. total guitar master and a someone understands and loves the instrument. Niandra Lades is a particular favorite of mine. a great recording. Despite the terrible state he was is, he was a special place of poesy and instrumental genius. frusciante is something else.. practically untouchable. a good guy to boot, very friendly.

My absolute favorites off Niandra LaDes are Untitled #11 & Your Pussy's Glued to a Building On Fire. Some of the acoustic songs off Curtains are brilliant too, like The Past Recedes, Hope.

Oh, and an instrumental one: Ramparts, from To Record Only Water for Ten Days.

Did I mention I own all of his albums? :D Can't wait for The Empyrean to come out!
