"Yes, symbolizes in certain way the happiness and the good energies for the union between(among) two persons who are loved. Though it is true, a material gift is not the most important thing, but the basic thing it are the spiritual gifts, the company and the support , there is never other tangent sample of the fondness and good desires for the future marriage.

For the same thing what would give a person who is going to take the way of the marriage, it would be a clock, in order that hereby it was managing to tell the minutes of happiness that it, will have in his new life and to never forget the time. Of the time that lived, that lives and that will live. And, precisely for the same reason, one would deliver it after his marriage, in order that this way it takes a new life, where the clock will mark and leave the fingerprint of the passage of time, of before and later.

2.- the wedding's guests must be dressed in a elegant way, like the ceremony deserves it. But the guests' elegance* shoudn't in any way diminish* the newlyweds, because they're the ceremony's reason and the centre of attention, *es de muy mal gusto (we don't know how to traslate this from spanish)* that once of the ceremony's guest try to be the central point of attention, because it decreases the importance of the two people that are joining each other in the sacred link

3.-

The things that a guest must not do in a wedding are: get drunk, laugh of the familiy's husband or wife to speak badly about someone who is present, fight, discuss and others. These are conducts not allowed for the others and that would make spend a bad moment to the married in his ceremony.

4.- It has to last a prudent ammount of time, because the wedding's celebration is to share the happiness with the newlywed's family and friends and not to make people celebrate all day long. It has to be a reasonable ammount of time in which the newlyweds can share with their loved ones the big step that they're making and make it a great moment for everyone

5. the things that a foreigner which marries a chilean has to do are the following: being nice with the partner's family; to learn about the chilean culture and respect it, because if the wedding takes place in Chile, it has to be under the chilean law and traditions; both must know which are the differences between their cultures and reach an agreement and share respecting each other's culture. The things that a foreigner who marries a chilean woman must not to do are: don't respect chilean traditions; try to impose his traditions over the woman's. Is this because in a couple, both of them should learn about each other's culture and then he'll reach an agreement and they'll live their marriage in a good way without discussions or fights because of the traditions; they should learn from each other and make a vincle that not even traditions or law could ever break.

my friend says thanks in advance :P

ooh this sounds like a job for me! i'm kind of a correcting freak.

give me a bit of time and i'll do my best, but because i don't know the context or anything, it might not be perfect. i'll just correct any glaring errors and make it sound like natural english.

Yes, this symbolizes in a certain way the happiness and the good energy for the union between two people who are loved. It is true that a material gift is not the most important thing, and the basic things are the spiritual giftsof company and support. [There is never other tangent sample of the fondness and good desires for the future marriage.] *this is a really hard sentence to deal with*

A good wedding gift would be a clock in order to tell the minutes of happiness that the receiver would have in his or her life, as well as to never forget the time, past, present, and future. For this reason, one should also receive a clock after they are married, for the clock will mark and leave fingerprints of the passage of time.

2- The wedding guests should dress elegantly because the occasion deserves it. However, the guests' elegance should not exceed that of the newlyweds, for it is bad taste to take attention away from them and the sacred link they are about to enter.

3- Guests should not get drunk, laugh at or fight with another guest, or discuss others. It would be embarrassing and spoil the special day for the newlyweds.

4- Foreigners that marry Chileans should do the following: be polite with his or her partner's family, learn about the Chilean culture, respect the Chilean Culture (for if the wedding takes place in Chile, it must be under Chilean law and traditions), and both must reach an agreement in respecting and understanding one another's culture. Foreign men that marry Chilean women must not disregard Chilean traditions or try to impose foreign traditions on his partner. An agreement will result in fewer fights and disagreements about traditions and culture, and both partners should learn from each other in order to create a bond that even traditions and laws couldn't break.

thaaaaaanks a lot Chelsea :D it's great :)

have a good night :nice:

oh crap, i just realized i left out a paragraph!

this is what that one i left out would be if you asked me:

4.- The wedding should not be too long or too short, because it is meant to share the newlyweds' happiness with family and friends, yet not last all day. It has to last long enough to share the big step the newllyweds are taking and to make a great moment for everyone.

Ahh booo, Chelsea already did it. :P
