crazyduckette
I remember going to my uni two years ago...I hadn't really given enough thought to the fact that I was going somewhere where I knew no one. :/ The best advice I can give you Jack.....talk to anyone and everyone you can in the first week! Try to make lots of friends. I didn't do that enough.... and then the people in my flat turned out to be jerks. and we should go watch a basketball match ;) This time next week, you'll look back and think what you were worried about. Just, go out and meet lots of people in the first couple of weeks, thats what I advise :)
Aleluvscp
I wish you a lot of luck Jack! and if anyone gives you a hard time...............well...................... there's always Coldplaying :idea2::lol: *should be banned for saying so much nonsense*

There will definitely be many other people in the same situation as you are so it shouldn't be too hard to find something to talk about with them either

Gitta Rensolo
ahhh I definitely know how you feel. I felt like this a year ago (funny that I'm moving out, back home, in some days)....at first everything is quite strange and new...ut I can tell you: if you get to know the right people then you'll loooooove it. It's really fun to live alone and be independent....but there are many problems to manage as well....it was the first time that I realised that I am an adult now...quite scary somehow... So, have fun at uni:nice:
Lore
here people (at least in this city) doesn't really go away to uni like almost all of you , my uni is 20 minutes far from home so I don't know how you feel but I agree with Kara... try to make friends and have lots of fun there... wish you the best

JPB
well im hardly the first person on this board that you'd want to see step up and pat you on the back but, from my own experience, you'll have a great time, make new friends, new experiences, and college is, well, a blast in general. make first year count though. the workload, well, lets just say it gets heavier as you go along. anyway, good luck :)
ApproximatelyInfinite
i had to do the same thing last year. i'm not going to try to scare you, because i can tend to be quite an unadaptable person in terms of making friends with people my own age, but honestly, most people around this age love uni/college. i just happen to like my previous life much more, and i think i'm a special case. anyway, good luck! making friends is the best way to go about all this (something i can have a hard time with). it really won't be bad at all. Pseudonym
You're gonna be fine. My brother is also just starting college and he is loving every minute of it. As long as you bring Coldplay music and post here as often as possible, you should have everything you need.;)
Ms Magpie
Try to do something else besides going to uni. Do some more sports, find yourself an activity where you get to meet many people. Once you know at least some, it's much easier, trust me.
MrMagpie
You'll do fine Jack. Even if its rough the first couple days just stick it out....things usually get better I find. And yeah, get involved with intermural sports teams, etc... ....and keep connected with coldplaying :P
