Now you're in trouble!!:stunned:

I know, I will have all the Newcastle people on my back.

*goes and hides under handy table to release sword*

^ hahahaha oh how hypotcritical of you! you're very selective over whether or not you get "annoyed" with a newcastle jibe. and i thought you wanted equality for all? :P

hence the "annoyed" way of phrasing it! ;)

I was annoyed cos I was in a bad mood anyway then I had to read your posts, you can mock Newcastle all you like, I often think things are funnier if they are mocking things you like, because if you do like something you can laugh about it

understandable. i come from the most mocked place in my country. prob why i want to spread the pain around a little.

I do think mocking an entire city is a bit ridiculous though, especially one as diverse as Newcastle ;)

And I'm totally lost on the whole basis of why anyone would mock Newcastle in the first place! Is it some inside joke of sorts?? What gives with this?

Party Town!

Wikipedia says Newcastle has a reputation for being a fun-loving city with many bars, restaurants, and night clubs. More recently Newcastle has become a popular destination for Stag and Hen parties. What exactly are Stag and Hen Parties?? (Inquiring minds need to know..) ;-> It goes on to say that "Newcastle was in the top 10 of the country's top night spots, and The Rough Guide placed Newcastle Upon Tyne's nightlife as Great Britain's #1 tourist attraction. Sounds good to me !!

But there is so much more than that, we get this "oh it's a good night out" thing, but it's a great city with everything, it's perfectly sized too, not massive, not small, just right

Which Newcastle are we on about again, the lovely newcastle in Stafford, the lovely Newcastle in Shropshire or that horrible city up north

The one that is Upon Tyne. One you clearly haven't been to if you think it is horrible, I'm not a biased person, I just really like the place.

The furthest I have been north is Manchester

You see, I understand why you wouldn't like "The North" especially Yorkshire, but Newcastle is not like that at all, it doesn't have all the same "we forgot how to say "the"" goings on for starts.

I can even understand why you would think Newcastle would be a bad place, but it really isn't

I must visit that area one day, maybe next year, taking a week out of work and just seeing the north.

Following your comments, do you think that's (Dennis) wise??

You're making me vomit again Mark

Yes - the mention of Dennis Wise has a tendency to provoke that sort of reaction.:P
