Is Chris Martin a US citizen.

My dad is pissing me off because im telling him that he resides sometimes in america and im pretty sure he went through the US citizenship process. Is this true. Please tell me this is or any other members that are.

i dont think he would do that, but he lives here half the time though

there's no legal point that will make him become US citizen?... i mean to be married with a US citizen i don't think he needs to be US citizen too, but if he will reside half and half in some time he probably will have to get US citizenship, or may be it will be allowed for him...

in spanish constitution one of the points to can get citizenship is to reside here for at least 10 years or so i believe :idea2:

so who knows if he is US citizen or not already?...

I doubt that the other guys of the band are US citizens, as there's no point in it, a part of touring in US, they reside in UK so...

^I wish i was 1/10 as witty as you. my brain is fried.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I doubt it since the family lives in London afair, but he might have to in the future.

as far as i know, he isn't a citizen. i feel like it would have been announced if he took the citizenship test.

as for reasons, i don't think living here half the year has anything to do with it. the only viable reason i think chris would have done it is to vote in the 2008 election. i hope he did take the citizenship test so he can vote obama! :P

I've wondered this myself. Especially with Election Day approaching. If I had to guess I would say he held a dual citizenship. Why else would he care about who our next president is? He seems to be promoting Barack Obama. Maybe he is and maybe he is voting. Just a thought. I haven't a clue really.

Why else would he care about who our next president is?

Because it affects the rest of the world who is president in the US.

If it wasn't for Bush the war in Ahganistan for example wouldn't still be going.

But if john kerry were in office, he'd do nothing about terrorists, theyd take over and bamm WWIII

so im guessing our situation is quite better :P

Yep, plus there's his children, who are half American.

Whether he's officially a citizen or not he has a property there, his wife and children are American so he's obviously going to show more of an interest in the presidential elections.

and of course, being in such a high income brackett.....there is the us/uk TAX issue, lol
