Dog Barks Along To Corrie Theme Tune!

Featured Replies

A dog in Scotland accompanies the opening credits to Coronation Street by barking out the theme tune.

Owner Claire May told The Aberdeen Press And Journal that her two-year-old collie/lurcher cross Alba begins to sing when he hears the sponsor's message.

She said: "He whines a couple of times and then when the music starts he begins howling. When he's finished he just goes back to whatever he was doing.

"He just started doing it himself. It began with a bit of a whine but now when it comes on it's a full-blown howl.

"We've no idea why but he's been doing it for as long as we've had him, which is almost two years."

May added that Alba has begun to sing along with other soap theme tunes: "He's started doing it with the music for Emmerdale, The Bill and sometimes EastEnders.

"Again, we don't know why and have wondered if it's something to do with a certain pitch. Mind you, he could be saying 'get that rubbish off', you never know."

This is groundbreaking news thank you so much for sharing Simon, you have changed my world

Well I'm sure the dog's more entertaining than the programme itself, anyway..................

I don't think so, I'd rather watch/mock some television than sit listening to a dog barking, but whatever floats your boat

:shocked2: HOW VERY DARE YOU!

Breaking news, the dog has been employed by a care-home to help putting it's patients to sleep, a senior nurse said, "we used to have the TV on with the introduction music of Corrie on repeat, as it's the best way to send people to sleep, now we can save on electricity costs by using the dog".
