Should Chris Martin be worried about Johnny Buckland?

Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland has admitted that he would give music up for the chance to play for his favourite football team Tottenham Hotspur, NME report today.

The lifelong Spurs supporter made the confession when asked by the club's official magazine, Hotspur, during an interview if he would trade his multi-million selling rock star life for the chance. "I wanted to be in a band from age 11," he joked, "but I wanted to be a footballer from the age of five. But there's still time!"

Buckland revealed that Chris Martin supports Michael Jackson and Uri Geller's club of choice, Exeter City, and that the band have a Coldplay football team of their own. "It's just a six-a-side thing," he said. "We try and find some locals to play with wherever we are in the world. There's me and Will (Champion, drummer), a couple of guys from the crew and we've got a security guy in goal. He's a man mountain, so it's really hard to score past him."

Well as things stand at the moment, I reckon he'd have a pretty good chance of getting in the team!!

He shouldn't be surprised if he gets a call from "Vamos Ramos" in the next few days!!:P

The band's guitarist reveals...

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin supports Michael Jackson's favourite football team, Exeter City, guitarist Johnny Buckland has revealed.

In an interview with Tottenham Hotspur's official club magazine, Buckland suggested he would give up Coldplay to play for the team, which he has supported since his childhood.

"I wanted to be in a band from age 11 but I wanted to be a footballer from the age of five. But there's still time,” he said.

Buckland also revealed that Coldplay have their own football team which gets tested against locals “wherever we are in the world.”

He said: "There's me and Will (Champion), a couple of guys from the crew and we've got a security guy in goal. He's a man mountain, so it's really hard to score past him."

Jackson began supporting Exeter City as a result of his friendship with Uri Geller. It's not clear how passionately he follows the club's Football League Two progress.

Coldplay Guitarist: “I’d Give Up Music For Spurs”

Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland has confessed he’d give up being in one of the planet’s biggest bands to play for his favourite football team, Tottenham Hotspur…

Buckland was asked by the club’s official magazine, Hotspur, if he would trade his multi-million selling rock star life for the chance to play for his life-long football team.

He said: “I wanted to be in a band from age 11, but I wanted to be a footballer from the age of five. But there’s still time!”

Tottenham are currently sitting rock bottom of the Premier League, and could well find their saviour in guitarist Buckland, who is currently snapped up to touring side Coldplay FC.

“It’s just a six-a-side thing. We try and find some locals to play with wherever we are in the world. There’s me and Will (Champion, drummer), a couple of guys from the crew and we’ve got a security guy in goal. He’s a man mountain, so it’s really hard to score past him.”

Buckland also revealed singer Chris Martin follows his hometown side Exeter City, while Champion is a season ticket holder at Southampton.

Vamos Ramos?

*notice i dunno so much about UK football teams*

Juande Ramos is Spurs' manager...and from the looks of the team the future doesn't look very bright for him. ;)

Why, Jonny, why......:P Maybe you can give them a hand or two, hahaha.
