Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I actually like quite a few of them, so I bet I'll like the other ones which I havn't listened to yet. Looking forward to checking them out.

i'd say go for MGMT

I'd say Sigur Ros, maybe even Björk, Pink Floyd, Jeff Buckley, Incubus, recent Porcupine Tree, and of course The Mars Volta (i recommend this band to absolutely everyone).

Elbow and Guillemots are definitely worth checking out, but i'd also recommend and We Are Scientists, Air Traffic and Pigeon Detectives!
