normally, when playing a song backwards, it'll sound like a mess of crap. the video i posted in the previous thread made my sister and i curious. we downloaded a program that allowed us to play Clocks backwards and not only does it sound like a damn good song, but there are some things you could deffinitely make out that Chris is saying, such as "What is this? Don't worry" and something about "It looks like they're flying":shocked2: it's actually a really pretty song, not that it's not beautiful enough forwards;)

have any of you heard other "secret messages" in other songs?

yea i remember uploading the whole A Rush Of Blood To The Head album backwards in the multimedia section.I really liked how the end of Politk sounded backwards.Clocks,The Scientist,In My Place,and Warning Sign are pretty good backwards.I liked it so much i was singing along to In My Place and The Scientist backwards!!

Personally I found playing songs backwards can be VERY creepy. Apparently in Jay-z songs there are a lot of hidden messages when played backwards and they are about the devil and stuff. If you play queen's Another one bites the dust backwards it "says its fun to smoke marijuana!" If you play stairway to heaven backwards it is has stuff about the devil. The clocks backwards is weird near the end because it is like a foreign language. At the start it definitley sounds like he is saying something about worry.

 

post some more of Coldplay backwards though ! it is kinda cool and not nearly as creepy as stairway to heaven.

holy shit, my sister's favorite band is the killers and she started playing their song Tranquilize backwards and now we've completely forgotten about clocks or talk. this song is a lot more clear. we can hear them talking about bombs leaving English dead, there is no hospital, and holding a broken family. This is during the main chorus part. What stands out most is the phrase "hidden message". This is incredibly audible, its a little scary!
