haha were all just dancing

 I should start writing a fanfic soon.

Was Baaa any good?

Chapter 1

Play Date

It was the first day without rain in twelve days.

Fab was excited when he looked out the window and saw the sun peeking over the horizon.

He looked back to where Catherine was sitting at the table eating her breakfast.

"Hey, honey," he said, "How would you like to go to the park today?"

"Yes!!" She said, just as she took a last drink of her milk.

She sat the glass down and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.

"Can we please?"

Fab looked askew at her and said," What did I tell you about that?

"I'm sorry," she said, reaching for her napkin and wiping her mouth.

He had to laugh at how cute she was.

"Well, alright," he told her, "Go get your boots on. That park is probably a muddy mess."

"Yea!!!" she jumped out of her chair and ran down the hall.

He picked up the dishes from the table and set them in the sink.

He looked out the kitchen window to see the sun starting to shine in its full glory.

"It's going to be a beautiful day," he said, "I wish Guy was here to see it."

Guy wished he was back in London too.

The band had embarked on a short series of concert shows in America.

They were going to be on tour for just three months.

But he was tired. Tired after the world tour. And tired of all the rain.

Everywhere they went in America it rained. It rained in Atlanta. It rained in New Jersey. It even rained in Texas.

Guy just wanted to be at home. It was a strange feeling to him. In all the years and all the tours he had never been

homesick before. Wherever they were in the world, he had always found something or someone to amuse him.

But that all changed when he became a family man. He almost laughed to himself at the concept. Who would have

thought that could ever happen? The legendary playboy of the band now settled down and raising a little girl.

He checked the time. They had just finished a late soundcheck.

"They should be awake by now," he mused to himself picking up his phone.

Fab answered right away.

"It's beautiful here," he told him.

"It's nasty here," Guy said.

"I am taking Catherine to the park."

"That's good. I know she loves those swings."

"And the ducks. Don't forget the ducks."

"There's ducks?" Guy asked.

"Yeah, she loves to feed them biscuits."

"I didn't know about the ducks," Guy said, sadly.

"That's okay. She will tell you about them when you get home."

"I am missing so much," Guy told him, wistfully. "Things may have to change."

"Don't worry. We will talk about it when you get home."

Chapter 2

Play Date

"Hi, she said, walking up to the bench where Fab sat watching Catherine, "My name is Elizabeth."

"I am Fab," he said, standing up to shake her hand.

"What?" she asked looking at him with a confused look.

"I am sorry," he apologized, "Fabrizio. My friends call me Fab."

"Oh," she laughed. "Italian?"

"No," he said, "American, actually."

"Oh, it doesn't sound very American," she said.

"Italian ancestors," he explained.

"Well, I thought I should come over and introduce myself," she said, "It seems that out little girls have really hit it off."

They both looked over to the sandbox area of the park where Catherine and another little girl were engaged in some heavy duty playing.

"Yes, It seems so. My little girl--her name is Catherine. And yours?"

"Carly," she said.

"Catherine and Carly....it sorta sounds musical," Fab told her.

"Your daughter is gorgeous," Elizabeth told him.

"Thank you. I think she looks like her father."

"Excuse me?"Elizabeth said.

"I am sorry," he told her, laughing, "I don't appear to be making a very good first impression do I? I meant she looks like my partner."

"Oh, you mean????Oh I see," she said, laughing too.

"Well you are lucky you have someone to share the responsiblity with," Elizabeth said, "My ass of an ex-husband ran out on me as soon as he found out about Carly."

"I'm so sorry," Fab told her, "But you do have a beautiful little girl."

"Yes," she said, "I would rather have her than him anyway."

"Look at those two," Fab told her.

They both looked back to the girls who had left the sandbox and were proceeding to stomp in every mud puddle they could find.

"It will take hours to get the mud out of her hair," Fab said, shaking his head and smiling.

"They get along so well. I am glad that Carly has a friend,"Elizabeth told him.

"Yes, Catherine spends most of her time around grown-ups and musicians. I was just thinking that she needed some friends her own age."

"You are a musician?" she asked.

"Yeah, I have a couple of bands that I record with. But my partner, he is the one that is really successful."

"Anybody I would know?" she asked.

"I'm sure you have heard of his band," Fab said, smiling slyly,"But I am afraid I cannot tell you anymore than that."

"Okay," she said, giving him a sly little smile in return.

"Look, you should give me your number," Fab told her.

"Yeah?" she asked.

"I mean, so we can get the girls together to play again."

"Sure," she said," That would be great."

Chapter 3

Play Date

"What did you do today?" Guy asked Catherine.

"We went to the park because it was sunny," she told him.

"Did you have fun at the park ?"

"Yes, daddy. Me and Carly got real dirty and then when we got home I had to take a bath."

"Who is Carly?" Guy asked.

"She's my friend from the park," Catherine explained.

Fab kissed her on the cheek and said, "Tell him goodnight and give me the phone."

"Goodnight, daddy. I love you," she said.

Fab took the phone from her.

"Who is Carly?" Guy asked.

"She's a little girl that Catherine met at the park today. They really seemed to hit it off. So I am

going to give her mother a call sometime and see if I can arrange a playdate for the two of them."

"Wow. That's great. Catherine does need some friends her own age."

"You sound tired," Fab told him.

"I am," Guy said, quietly, "I just can't seem to get into a rhythm for these shows. I am very homesick."

"It'll be over soon and then you will be home with us for a long time, right?"

"Yeah," Guy said, "I should be there for at least two years or so. You know how long it takes Chris to make everything just perfect."

"Thank goodness for his neurotic tendencies," Fab laughed.

"Listen," Guy said," I may try to come home this weekend. We have two days off in between shows in America and Canada. Would that be okay?"

"That is the best news," Fab said.

"Hey stranger."

Fab opened his eyes to see Guy sliding into bed with him.

"Hey, What are you doing home now?" he asked, giving Guy a kiss.

"Ah, Chris got sick from all that rain and we had to cancel two shows so I left early for the weekend."

Guy wrapped his arms around Fab's body.

"I just want to hold you for a long while," he told him, "I have missed you so much."

Fab closed his eyes and reveled in the feel of Guy so close to him.

"I am so glad that you are home," he said, taking a deep breath, "Catherine will be so surprised."

"I love you," Guy said.

"I wish you didn't have to leave again," Fab told him.

"I don't want to think about that now or for the next few days," Guy said.

"I just want to lie here and hold you."

"Is that all?" Fab asked, smiling smugly.

"Well, maybe not all," Guy laughed.

Then he looked deep into Fab's eyes.

"Definitely not all," he said, softly.

Chapter 4

Play Date

Fab sat at the kitchen table toying with his coffee cup.

"I can't believe this is happening," he said to himself, "How did it happen?"

It had been two weeks since Catherine met Carly in the park.

In that two weeks he had somehow managed to develop intense feelings for Elizabeth.

He didn't know if it was the way she held her head when she laughed or the way she smiled or the way that she seemed to hang on his

every word. He didn't know if it was her soft blonde hair or her sparkly blue eyes. But whatever it was, Fab was

crazy about her. That didn't mean that he didn't still love Guy. He did love Guy, more than anything but......then there was Elizabeth.

He hadn't meant to kiss her that day in her kitchen. She just looked so sad when she burned the cookies she was baking for the girls.

He just wanted to make her feel better. And then when she kissed him back.....

Fab put his hands over his face. He never thought he could do this. He never thought he could betray Guy like this. At least a

kiss was all that had taken place between him and Elizabeth. But that wasn't because he hadn't thought about it. He knew that

all he had to do was say so and she would be his. The look in her eyes told him so.

And now Elizabeth and Carly were on their way over for a playdate. He knew he had to talk to her.....to straighten things out

with her..but what to say...that he didn't care about her....that wasn't true....

The doorbell rang and Catherine came running from her room to open the door.

"Carly!!" she said. She grabbed the girls hand and drug her off toward her room, both of them chattering away.

"Hi," Elizabeth said, walking in slowly.

"Hi," he told her.

He really wanted to grab her and kiss her.

"We should talk," he told her.

"I think so," she said, sitting down.

"I am extremely attracted to you," he told her, "But I am in love with Guy."

"I know," she said, "I am attracted to you too. But I won't be responsible for breaking up a family."

"Good," he said, "Then we agree."

"Yes," she nodded, with a sad look on her face.

"Don't do that!" Fab yelled at her, getting up and pacing around the room.

"Do what?" she asked.

"Look so damn sad. Because then I am going to have to kiss you to make you feel better."

"I'm sorry," she said, "Maybe I should go."

"Yes,' he nodded, "I think you should."

"Carly?"

"I will take her home later. If that's okay with you," Fab told her.

"Yes, that's fine," Elizabeth said, starting to walk toward the door.

"Look," she said, "I'm really sorry. I enjoyed having you as a friend. I didn't mean for any of this to happen."

"I know," he told her, "Neither did I."

I am working on a few things now.....and I have to finish Quarantine.

Chapter 8 (I think)

Quarantine

"Wow," Guy said, "Would you look at that."

"What exactly is that?" Will asked.

Guy looked at him.

"Don't play innocent with me," he told Will, "I know you have watched porn before."

"Yeah," Will said, "But I still am not sure what that is?"

"Here," Guy said, getting up and walking toward the television, "Look at it from this angle."

Will did as Guy had instructed.

"Oh......Oh...I see what you mean," He said, "That is rather remarkable."

Guy walked to the desk and started looking through the drawers.

"What are you doing?" Will asked.

"Looking for paper," Guy told him, "I think I need to make notes and maybe a few sketches of that move. You know...for future use."

Jonny and Chris came walking in from the kitchen where they had been making snacks for all of them.

"Porn again?" Jonny asked.

"Here," Chris handed Will a large bowl of popcorn.

"Yes, porn again," Guy said.

"What's wrong with porn?" Chris asked Jonny, while he was staring intently at the television screen.

"Nothing," Jonny said, "It's just that we have watched hours and hours of it since they locked us up together."

Chris sat down on the sofa beside Jonny.

Will was sitting in the floor, absentmindedly stuffing popcorn in his mouth while watching the screen.

"Oh man, Guy....Come here....You should have seen that!" Will said.

"What?!!" Guy jumped over the back of a chair and landed beside Will on the floor.

Chris' hand slowly crept off his lap and drifted over the side of Jonny's thigh.

Jonny looked at him, but Chris never took his eyes off the screen.

"Do you think those people..those actors really do all that stuff or is it faked?" Will asked Guy.

"Gotta be real," Guy said, "No female can fake that look."

"Yeah, yeah....you wish," Will teased him, "I bet plenty have faked it with you."

"Me? Never." Guy said, "I am the master at my craft."

Will burst out laughing.

"Master of lying is more like it,"he told him.

Chris' hand reached its destination and Jonny jumped just a little.

Chris never took his eyes off the screen.

Jonny's swallowed hard and tried to keep his breathing under control.

"There's a difference between a faked look and a look of absolute pleasure," Guy was saying.

"Now, there....there..." He was pointing at the television, "That is a look of absolute pleasure. Don't you think so Chris?"

Chris looked at Jonny and saw the look on his face.

"Yes," he said, "I agree completely."

Chapter 9

Quarantine

"We are just about finished here," the doctor said, writing some notes down on a sheet.

"It seems that everyone in the hotel checked out fine. I'm sure you will be free to go soon."

"So no one contracted whatever that disease was?" Guy asked.

"No, we were lucky this time," the doctor told him, "But one can never be too careful with outbreaks like this."

"Can you tell us what it was?" Will asked.

The doctor stood up and shut his bag.

"I am afraid that is not my call to make," he said.

"Well, who could tell us?" Chris asked.

"A representative of the World Health Organization would be your best bet," the doctor advised, "I'm sure that there will be one downstairs when you check out."

"Okay," Chris told him, "Thank you."

"I really shouldn't tell you," the woman was saying, "But I guess it is alright since the crisis is over."

"Okay," Chris asked, "What?"

She motioned for him to step closer to her and she whispered something into his ear.

Chris' eyes grew large.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

"Yes, I am sure. This could have easily turned into a pandemic in this country."

"Thank you," he told her.

"What?" Guy asked, "That sounded bad."

Chris looked at them all with a serious look.

"Chicken pox," he said.

"What? You can't be serious?" Guy said, angrily.

Will and Jonny were laughing hysterically.

"Well," Jonny finally said, "They were right to be careful with you three. It is a childhood disease after all. And most of the time you act like children."

"Shut up," Chris said, "And get in the van."
