January 9, 200917 yr i was talking to a friend about how alot of the best music of the year not sounding great live. and he put it to the fact that most of those artists/bands are very young and inexperienced. most of them are on their first world tour and dont quite have the funds to reproduce all the sounds they made in the studio.
January 9, 200917 yr ^ That may be some of it. Most of it, I believe, is that it takes young bands time to develop a stage presence and perfect their craft. I have been watching a band like the Killers since the early Hot Fuss days. They have always been good live, but I saw them recently and they were light years ahead of the early days, and this is only in a matter of 5 years. Bottom Line: It takes time to develop young artists. I wish radio and record labels would recognize this fact.
