I'd say, based on what little I've found, that the people all over the place who say not to judge Smith before you've seen "party animals" are right. He's a lot more interesting and animated in that role than his other screen appearances from what I can see...

I think I've figured out what bugs me about it so much. He has such great prominent cheekbones that having anything in front of them throws his whole face off and makes him look kind of lopsided. I like that haircut on some other people, just not him. Heh... such a silly thing to obsess about.
