But based on the 50/50 divide between sea and air in the background, I find it much more likely that u2 were thinking more along the lines of symmetry and equality.

U2 was/is involved with Oxfam. That's why I added the word "seem". I was mostly talking about the uneducated public. You know the "Coldplay are U2/Radiohead wannabes" crowd. People who bashed CP for releasing VH free, cause it was too much like Radiohead's idea. I don't believe U2 is copying CP, no way. But you know, if Bono had teh MTF sign on his hand, and Coldplay released this CD art you know what people would automatically say.

January 19, 200917 yr B&W, but a green = sign, obviously! So, if U2 does mostly B&W covers, then looking at the shade of the gray, one might be able to determine what the real intent is..;) I think it's quite possible, since basically U2 & Coldplay are operating from both sides of the same coin - one for food, water, and assistance; the other disease eradication, treatment, and prevention. From my brief conversation in the mall with Chris and Bono, I would have to think they're pretty much in collaboration/coordination on their charity beliefs. Notice the red V on Chris's shirt? One complimenting the other. They did spend quite a bit of time together, so I'm sure there's a connection. Or maybe, as is always the case with U2's art, it's that and so much more, put in an elegant a form.:cool:
