January 18, 200917 yr does anybody have sheets for this? or a tutorial how to play it? like chris played it yesterday?
January 18, 200917 yr He played it live on the piano? Well transcriptions of the album versions are easily available. Does Chris just play chords or imitate the dulcimer?
January 18, 200917 yr It seemed like a chord/arpeggio combination...he did play some chord/riff combinations as well. He played with a piano, no MIDI instruments. It seemed like he hadn't practiced much prior to playing it.
January 19, 200917 yr I'm surprised so many of you don't know what he's talking about...Check the main coldplaying.com page... He performed it at the NRJ Awards.
January 19, 200917 yr [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdwAh-QAQ_A]YouTube - Coldplay Life in technicolor ii NRJ music awards 2009 (High Quality!)[/ame] ^there it is
January 19, 200917 yr yeah it certainly seems he did not take too much time to prepare it haha true but hey it was still great...
January 19, 200917 yr Yeah, it has a nice charm to it. Like he's messing around at a friend's house. Kind of cool As far as the way it's played. The structure is pretty much the same. I've been playing it on the piano for a while, and he's pretty much just improvising around the chords which are F#m, D, A x3 then E, A x1 throughout. The intro riff is just the notes A, B, A, C#, E, A, A, B, A, F#, F#, E, A...(F#'s are G#'s the 2nd time around) At the end of each verse he plays two chords using notes: e(or f#),a,d into e,a,c# on the RH oh, and the only slight variation in the bass line is during the "serenade of sound" part where the bass plays A, G F# before the E chord.
January 19, 200917 yr Author Could anyone do a tutorial for this? Or tell me each note i have to plkay on the left and the right hand. Pleaseeeeeeeeeee

Thanks! I'll try to work it out! It would be great if someone could try to do a tutorial (video) :embarrassed: thanks !!
January 19, 200917 yr He nailed it. Alot of us wish we could sound quite so melodic in our friends basement. :)
January 20, 200917 yr actually, the host of the ceremony is Greek! :laugh3: (Nikos) intelligent, cross-cultural american fail....
January 20, 200917 yr anyone have it on guitar? what do you need? the chords and melody are all there. (only th D is Dsus2 [xx0230]) and the E chord is played an octave higher.
January 20, 200917 yr Jonny's part is an enigma to me frankly. He has some weird slightly audible reverb effect with which he plays chords and tremolo picks at the intro, but the only riffs I know for the intro and the chorus are played by the dulcimer, let me see if I can find the sheet.
