Don't Vote for Coldplay at the NME awards

And so it's the time of year when the 2nd worst musical awards shortlist comes out (the 1st being the MTV 'European' Music Awards).

And it appears that the NME doesn't like Coldplay as the album is up for Worst-Album of the year award:

Britney Spears – 'Circus'

Coldplay – 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends'

Jonas Brothers – 'A Little Bit Longer'

Razorlight – 'Slipway Fires'

Scouting For Girls – 'Scouting For Girls'

Everybody get onto http://www.nme.com/awardsvote/21/ and vote for anyone else but Coldplay. I suggest Scouting for Girls ;)

All the nominations came from the public, not NME itself.

What has happened here is; we've all been too busy voting for Guy and Chris in the sexiest male and forgot the actual awards. Whilst ateasers and Musers have been voting for themselves and against us en masse.

*rephrases title to read well it seems the readers of the NME don't like Coldplay*

i don't mind too much because a lot of the things on the shortlist I don't like. At least Razorlight was on the worst list... what an overpackaged, overadvertised disappointment. Ugh.

But we all knew the polling was a bit skewed by people who were cheating (we witnessed it!) so... I won't read much into it.

Still though. Still.

thank goodness they nominated some good people for things- Radiohead, Vampire Weekend,. But putting Noel Gallagher in the heroes section? Ick.
