I have a learning disability that's a form of Asperger's... It's made life tough sometimes (social stuff can be a nightmare), but I've learned to deal with everything that it throws at me :)

really, you have PDD-NOS? I didn't know that!

haha, it takes a lot more than an online test to know if you have AS :P

Omg Zoe, what is it called?

I think I just fell in Jupiter with you :wacky:

Now you do know! :cheesy:

This is the one I took.

Score: 40

Oh I did the last few questions backwards :P *takes again*

you won't have heard of it, but it's called Nonverbal Learning Disability :nice: Some people believe it's something different from AS, but most believe that it's a form of AS on the autism spectrum (although not officially recognized :dozey:)... I fit the criteria for AS as well, though

I'm not sure I've ever met someone with a PDD-NOS before  maybe I have...

ha I beat your score, 43! :P

edit: damn, 45? I don't even know how I didn't get a perfect score

I think I would have aspergers, except I'm very good at reading people and understanding jokes...

We should become friends now.

What about the whole sensory thing, do you have any problems with that?

I think I would have aspergers, except I'm very good at reading people and understanding jokes...

well that's one of the biggest components of AS, being unable to read people ;) I'm so so so bad at reading people. It was worse when I was younger though, but since then I've had help learning to notice people's facial expressions/what facial expressions mean, etc...

What's the sensory exactly?

Oh and I forgot, I also don't have an obsession with something...

I think I would have aspergers, except I'm very good at reading people and understanding jokes...

Maybe you're just awkward?

I guess I just have terrible social anxiety and I'm very awkward, at least its curable with the right amount of scotch.

It would be easier if their faces looked exactly like the smileys on here :P

Yeah, I was reading about aspergers a few months ago, and that's one of the main reasons that I figured I didn't have it. :P

Maybe. I'm also very introverted... on every meyers-briggs test I've taken, I've gotten 100% introversion. I also think I have social anxiety.

I think these days my learning disability affects me most through my obsessions :uhoh: I get so ridiculously wrapped up in them, they're all-consuming- I actually wrote my college application essay about my obsessions, although in the essay I called them "passions" :P

We should become friends now.

we weren't friends before? :bigcry: :P

fun fact: I read somewhere that people with ASDs are more strongly drawn to places like internet forums... I thought that was really interesting

+10000000000000000

that's probably one of the truest statements that I've ever read :wacky:

I tell it like it is :charming:

I could make a chronological list of the obsessions that I've had throughout my life :P the biggest ones have been Latin, Beatles, and Coldplay, though :)

yay! :cheesy: let's take over this thread and use it to discuss our oddities

they said it's because on internet forums/online communication in general, there aren't really social conventions to follow and stuff  you don't have to worry about reading people's faces, etc, and you can think for as long as you want before you "speak"

true dat! being by yourself is where it's at!!

Actually, when I think about it, I have had obsessions.

This is the one I took.

My score's 18 tho.

Being social is for losers :P

Yeah especially when they are social yet intimidating.

My score was 39. :o

I scored a 23. It surprised me.

Ass burgers.
