March 5, 200917 yr nope... yeah i think you are right. that would be cool if it ended up that way because that ottawa show at the corel centre was one of the best nights of my life! i ended up 1st row :D ... Actaully it wouldn't be so cool because that's not how the seating plan is laid out for ticket buyers. I for one would not have bought GA tickets if the entire floor was GA. My guess - based on the seating chart - is that there is a GA section immediately in front of the stage. There will likely be a crowd barrier at the rear of that section. On the other side of that barrier will be the seated floor sections (A1, A2, A3...) This is *similar* to the method U2 employed on their last two tours. Also, similar to how Springsteen has done it with his last couple of tours.

Or I can call on Monday to TRY to exchange my tickets, but they have the cost the same as the floors - which they don't, they are only $79 - so I guess I am getting screwed, I am SO pissed - I should have just waited to get tickets....

I would be much happier if I were on the floors in the section back with a row and a seat - but again, just going on what I have been told by 3 people is that it is GA. Again, I hope they are wrong....but that's what I have been told
March 5, 200917 yr I was at the Rogers Centre for the AC DC show and the venue has drastically improved their acoustics, so no need to worry about that. I've already purchased 8 tickets on the Argos pre-sale. FYI - for those who didn't know, you can go on more than once! I love the idea of meeting up before the concert and may i also suggest that as united Coldplay fans, we should all go to the Argos game together too! Maybe they'll designate a section for us!!!

I was gonna say the same thing... Sections A1-7 say RESERVED whereas GA is standing general admission.. I'm on the phone with ticketmaster and will ask to see what they say also.
March 5, 200917 yr Re the whole floor GA issue, most North American venues eliminated this type of seating after the horrific accident at a 1979 Who concert in Cincinnati when 11 fans were trampled to death in a stampede towards the stage. The Cincinnati ban was only lifted in 2004 but most venues have kept a limit on the number/size of GA seating. It really is just for reference. just got off the phone - rep says if it says RESERVED then its RESERVED seating unlike the GA section that is first come first serve. It even says this when you select the tickets.

It really is just for reference. That is also my experience. BUT In this case it is clearly labelled throughout the ticket buying process that there is RESERVED FLOOR SEATING (referred to by A1, A2... on the published seating chart) and STANDING GENERAL ADMISSION FLOOR. http://media.ticketmaster.com/en-ca/tmimages/venue/maps/tor/26935s.gif

Also, similar to how Springsteen has done it with his last couple of tours. well like i was saying in one of my other posts, this method would make the most sense to me, as it is the most common setup for most arena shows. i don't mind the idea of a bigger GA section, that is my own preference...but it does seem pretty disappointing & frustrating for those who were expecting a designated seat. i can't believe also that if this is the case (if they've changed it to an entire GA floor) that they could just change the setup last-minute like that, after initially posting the seating chart as previously stated (GA in front, floor seats behind). also, the stuff about the history of trampling and changing the laws due to death risk is an issue too. either way i just wish they would confirm the details so that everyone who actually HAS tickets now can know forsure exactly what tickets they have, where they are sitting/standing, and generally what to expect when the show arrives.
March 5, 200917 yr I am SO confused So when it says GA6 for the row - that means nothing? And the same with seats 31 & 32 And I DID select 100 Level Seating, and still got this. And I was going by what 3 different people told me at ticketmaster....
