So EXCITED!!! My first Coldplay concert despite having loved them since the beginning! :embarassed:

Got great floor seats (despite 7 attempts at purchasing) - A3, Row 22.

Going with 3 long-time very good friends - one I've known since we were 6yrs old!!

YAAAAAAAAYYYY!!! Can't wait - hope they have butterfly confetti! :D

P.S. Anyone want Argos tickets? :wink3:

ah i'm so torn on this.

it pains me to have such easy access to amazing seats... but i think i'm going to wait 'til other pre-sales... having to buy two $33 tickets (that I'll never use... and likely never sell... 'cause, seriously, who watches Argos football?) On top of $100 tickets is just ridiculous. Also, the fact that you can only buy in quantities of 2 or 4... Kind of unfair for people who just want one ticket.

on the otherhand... i saw them last year... really close... row 6... floor... and i also was there for the vip soundcheck/meet and greet/photo op thing... so i'm afraid that, even though i've seen them from the nose-bleeds in the past (and it was still fantastic)... i'm afraid that after the insane experience of last time... seeing them from anywhere less just won't compare... and kind of suck in such a horrible venue. I've been ruined lol.... and i don't want to kill that last memory....

i dunno if that makes sense.

does anyone know how many tickets are dedicated to this presale? because it started over an hour ago and there seems to still be a ton of good tickets left... I'm worried I won't be able to get a good spot in other presales or general onsale :S i REALLY need to see them again... but i'm so torn on what to do here.

Ok so I just talked to another person at ticketmaster and she said there are NO seats on the floor at all

That Can't be right..

The website specifically states:

"Reserved Floor Seating"

If that isn't the case, Ticketmaster might have another lawsuit on their hands haha

maybe the reps don't have access to argo presale and when they look up regular tickets it says none available since it isn't on sale until Monday... I'm sure the reps just don't have all the info yet...

Well I got to different stories, I am going to email them and see what I can find out, I am REALLY annoyed at this - cause the second lady said there are no rows or seats, cause I said, well it saysa row "GA6" and seats 31 - 31 and she said it's just their way of keeping track of tickets, but how would the WHOLE floor be GA?

Now 1.5 hours after the sale started and I can still pull up four GA seats as well as four front floor seats. I'll wait for the presale and save the money. The chumps selling the tickets on Ebay not only have to clear face value but they are also stuck with worthless football tickets that they will sell for 1/3 of face on Ebay also.

are they sectioning people off then? or is it going to be a long wait and a mad dash for the best spots? it definitely said reserved though....

As someone already stated you can get 100 seated. Change the price from any to $79.95 then choose 100 seated.

I just entered in the any category for 100 level, and they gave me section 110 right next to the stage, so not exactly sure what people are complaining about...

I won't take any risk and go for the Argos pre-sale. It's just a blessing to have access to great seats so easily !!!!

i just noticed that there is a convenience charge on the Argo tickets as well... LOL

Just saw that too... Must be a ticketmaster thing since they have convenience charges for every ticket that they sell

People are complaining because those seats were not available when the presale started.

I've never seen so much confusion and so many problems with one concert... and I've seen a lot of concerts... so sad, since I love this band so much.

Did anyone else see what No Doubt did with their pre-sale type tickets? For an extra charge of $15 they gave real fans an early grab at ALL the best seats... and they put your name on the ticket... which takes out the ability for people to buy and sell them for ridiculous amounts on ebay... Such a fantastic way to do things I think. I wish Coldplay would consider doing the same one day.

you'd think that the convenience charge of over $16 per Coldplay ticket would have been enough... That's over $40 in convenience charges alone...

I bought 2 tickets earlier this morning, and I wanted to buy some more for a friend, and I had no problem !!!!! You can get as many tix as you want :D

I also realized that you can buy only 1 ticket with the 4pack !

amen to that!

but what is this about the floor being potentially ALL general admission?

that is nuts!

i am sure it is seats leading up to the GA area...how can it be otherwise?

seems unrealistic to me.

if it is all GA that could also be cool, but unusual...i remember seeing them in 2003 at the corel centre (now scotiabank place) and the whole floor was GA...it definitely was a mad dash, but they only allowed people who were waiting in line to run to the front in small groups. it was actually really organized! but from how this event has gone thus far i wouldn't imagine it ending up very organized at all!

who knows...this is weird.

regardless i guess all that matters is those of us who wanted GA, got them.

though if i was in the seats behind the GA people, i would be frustrated by not being able to see over ppl's heads - so maybe they will make it all GA? hmm.

so many mixed messages! i wish they would just confirm details a little more automatically.

I finally got some in the 100 seats on the side of the stage. Section 110, row 20!!! Super pumped for this show!

I guess the problem was just that they weren't available at the beginning of the presale. Thankfully they are now.

wow - that is amazing no doubt did that! i wish coldplay would catch on as well.

i am so impressed! incredible. more events/bands really should cater to their fans like that...where would they be without us??

i agree about the confusion on details for this shows - it is ridiculous, frankly.

specifically, what kinds of tickets are you looking for? 'cos i may have extra to sell...

amen to that!

Isn't that how all the huge stadiums shows are done in the UK? A massive pit of general admission...? If I remember correctly, Coldplay said they wanted to start doing those types of shows in North America...

Massive pits are amazing. The atmosphere is different.I'm from Europe so that's all I know. You get squeezed and you can always move closer with a bit of tactic.

Got Tickets

I actually got my 3 tickets - Section A6 Row 18 - not too shabby.

I had to buy 4 Argos vouchers as they wouldn't sell 1 or 3. Not worth the paper they're printed on - why do you think the Argo's needed the presale?

My budget is blown, as is my 50 year boycott of North American football, but I am going to see Coldplay!

I heard they're also giving whoever buys tickets (over $42) their ENTIRE back catalogue of music for free. Amazing.

I'd be looking for GA floors I suppose... It all depends on how this mass confusion about general admission pans out. I've seen a lot of baseball games from where the 100 levels are... Something close to the stage there might be decent/better... What did you end up with?

yeah i think you are right. that would be cool if it ended up that way because that ottawa show at the corel centre was one of the best nights of my life! i ended up 1st row :D

i like the sounds of this because i've always preferred general admission and do love the atmosphere of everyone being together in a "pit" so to speak. if this is how coldplay is starting to do things across the board, fine by me! i know the pushing can sometimes be frustrating but it is coldplay and everyone is always pretty decent in terms of space, etc. tactic is the way to go! as long as the true fans can get as close as possible, i am happy :)

thanks ladies!
