They would probably understand if you couldn't afford it -- 3k is a LOT of money, and if your parents aren't the kind who would just give you that sort of money, I would stay home. If you can't lifeguard or something over the summer or anything like that I would just try to keep the financial independence thing down -- I'd either ask my parents terribly nicely for the money or I would just stay here. yeah i know they would. they do. i just feel like it puts pressure on me. :\ my brother's life guarding, he said i should. but i'm not that good of a swimmer :P and again the whole surgery thing, i probably wouldn't be cleared for swimming afterwards ugh. oh, and my parents will loan me the money to make the payments and stuff. but i have to pay every cent back. Alright!! time for Lizzy's two cents: you know how much i want u to hunt down the bakery with me there :sneaky: and go to Scotland and "Guy-it-up" in his home country..............BUT- that is a lot of mulah!! i went to italy and greece my senior year and it was about that much too for 2 weeks, however i was SO happy that i did it! :wacky: unless something else comes up b4 you graduate, it would be a good opportunity to travel cus once college starts, some ppl travel more and some ppl travel less cus thy just dont have teh $$$ to do so. and the whole surgury thing too i understand. just ask yourself how much u want this and if there might be other opportunieis for u later too! you seem like a smart cookie tho mars..... you will prolly get scholarships for college no? i mean u cant know that but it helps when your smart too cus then u have more $$$ to spend on travel and stuff like that ;) :lol: that made me laugh. well there's a Euro trip every year. so i could go on the one that year. but junior year is the best time to go.... and then there's senior trip senior year.... its for 11 days. and the first and last day are travel days. so 9 days really. i want to go. but i don't feel like i HAVE to go. ya know what i mean? :thinking: maybe its because i've already been to england? i dunno. ugh. i don't know what to do!! :bigcry: and the non refundable downpayment of $95 is due ASAP! first come, first serve. i wanna go. i don't wanna go. i wanna go. i don't wanna go. back and forth back and forth. ahhh

May 17, 200917 yr ok well for 9 days and that much money that sounds a bit redic. :confused: no offense, but u can go for much cheaper than that for 9 days and learn just as much cus most of that cost im assuming is for tour guides, and bus drivers etc. just come see me when i live in london in a few years and ill give u tours of everything :lol:

But first, I have to share that I got my prize in the mail today, but they shipped them so poorly that THE CDS WERE BROKEN! So I have to email them and ask for new ones... May 17, 200917 yr yessssssssssss! SO. I was watching Live 03 with my boyfriend after school, and Everything's Not Lost came on. And I was like "this is my favorite version of my favorite Coldplay song!" and got up and ran to the TV to turn it up, and he followed me. And we *cough* started making out while Everything's Not Lost was playing in the background, and towards the end we just stood there hugging and swaying to the music, and I was watching the concert over his shoulder and... *sigh* best moment ever :wacky: *stops being TMI* sorryyyyyyy, it was just such a perfect moment!
