Is it possible to listen to "Shiver"...

...and not experience just the most incredible rush, this need to get up and spin around in circles and bang invisible drums and try & try & scream to hit the high notes, and then collapse and marvel at how the song still sounds so incredibly fresh?

All of this in spite of its kinda downer message, of course. :P

It's called self-restraint my friend and you may require lots of it

That song has led to not putting down my guitar for hours on end. Some days i turn it on, I get so excited i pick up my guitar play it through and then get lost in music.

that song has made/making me learn guitar :) and i feel like listening to it now :D

I get that With Most coldplay songs. The most blatant though is Fix You.. When the Guitar and the Drums Kick in, No matter where you are you just wanna Jump Up and Do a Chris Dance. :) Same with Lovers in Japan.

I REALLY hope they start playing Shiver again!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my favorites ever .... weren't they going to extend the setlist in the summer

*sighs*

I adore that song. Its my favorite love song ever lol.

No, it is not ;).

How would you know? You lack it :P

Shiver doesn't really do that for me. I think it's a good song but I rarely listen to it anymore and it just sounds okay to me.

As said in the "Hardest Songs to Sing" thread, while Shiver does make me want to spin around like a maniac, actually singing it makes me sound like a squeaky swingset with its edges rusting off.
