March 23, 200917 yr My bracket has gone from awesome to sort of crappy in one-day. All of tonight's games went fine, but I think I ended up with something like 10 for 16. Part of the problem came from first round losses on teams I expected to win at least one more game, like Utah, West Virginia, and Florida State. So I automatically had 3 losses going in. Oh well, I guess its all up to my Spartans to clean house!
March 23, 200917 yr You like basketball and Radiohead. Man you've got to get into proper stuff. But then again Canadians are shit at football (or sacccerrr! as North Americans call it) and even shitter racing drivers. Jacques Villeneuve?! What a joke that guy was in the end!Get a grip, dude. :inquisitive: And Villeneuve may have been a bit crazy, and may have stuck with the wrong team too long, but at least he didn't go intentionally throwing his car into the wall to block his rival's qualifying lap... or ramming his car into his rival in a desperate bid for a championchip.... :shy:
March 23, 200917 yr Yeah in fact loads of us British people have problems with you lot calling it soccer. You call American football, football, when you play with your hands 90% of the time! Tell me where the bloody hell is the logic in that?! Maybe explains why the US are so shit at it. You don't know how relieved people were when Beckham signed for AC Milan, a proper football team, rather than continue playing his trade for primary school standard MLS. No one cares about American sports in any part of the world apart from America. Over here the Super Bowl got amongst the lowest viewing figures for a late night slot. I don't see why that's such a problem. We don't have a problem with you calling French fries chips. o_O Anyway, we're not as good at it as European countries because really, we as a nation really don't care much for soccer. Oh, and if you're REALLY going to judge an entire nation just because of what sports we play and our capabilities we have in those sports, you have issues. Seriously.
March 23, 200917 yr Author I'm not even going to say anything about British and their lack of hockey skills :P
March 23, 200917 yr I'm not even going to say anything about British and their lack of hockey skills :P :lol::lol:
March 24, 200917 yr I'm not even going to say anything about British and their lack of hockey skills :P :laugh3: +1 for Briggins again.
March 24, 200917 yr Well, I've only 2 for you so far, but I have a feeling this is only the beginning. :smug2:
March 24, 200917 yr Author So the so called fantasy expert who writes for our newspaper is 10/16. In my pool of ten friends, the worst person is 11/16. None of us even follow college hoops closely. I am definitely going to e-mail the "expert" and make fun of his horrible predictions.
March 24, 200917 yr ^That is awesome. I actually put a bracket together on espn for the women's tournament. This time I carefully analyzed the match-ups, away records, and possible upsets...but straight off the back I lost 3 of the first 4 games. Whereas my rapidfire "that looks good. *click*" strategy in the men's bracket shot off really well until recently.
March 27, 200917 yr game just ended but I had UConn in the first game, and actually had Florida State beating Xavier in the last round... Now I have Villanova beating Duke in the next game.
March 27, 200917 yr Author I can tell by your massive sig haha So I had Memphis going to the final 4. As long as UConn loses I'm still okay.
March 27, 200917 yr I curled against a team from Villanova representing UT at college nationals. Needless to say, we owned.
March 29, 200917 yr Holy crap, my pool bracket just went from like 24th to alone in 2nd! Apparently point values are increasing dramatically with each round, and I was only the 2nd person to get both today's games right.
March 29, 200917 yr Whoa nice Chris! I don't know enough about this subject to make predictions, but I once had a professor who made us fill out a March Madness diagram with our predictions and mine were totally random. I'm sure he knew when he glanced at it.
March 29, 200917 yr We lost. What a relief. Don't have to listen to people blathering about our chances any more. :sweatdrop:
