May 1, 200917 yr If there's a * it means that I listened to some stuff, and I need to listen to more: Muse * The Beatles * Jason Mraz * Arcade Fire Keane Bob Marley U2 * Snow Patrol * Depeche Mode * Arctic Monkeys Elbow Kanye West The Script James Blunt RHCP Fleet Foxes
May 1, 200917 yr Author you can never get enough of Muse OR The Beatles. Especially not Muse!!! Hey, I need to listen to Keane as well. And U2... I mean, I've listened to a few songs, but not enough. Also the Arctic Monkeys. I would dissuade you from Kanye West, though. He's better than some American rappers, but... I don't know. I don't like him very much. Not a very big James Blunt fan either for some reason
May 1, 200917 yr I would dissuade you from Kanye West, though. He's better than some American rappers, but... I don't know. I don't like him very much. Maybe because he's a gay fish?
May 1, 200917 yr Author Gasp! That was sooper insulting. Actually that was basically what I was going to say. :P
May 1, 200917 yr Author Eww, I don't like Heartless! :shame: 'Tis okay, you have really great taste in music otherwise :P
May 1, 200917 yr Author I played frisbee in basically a hurricane, as I already mentioned. My test in Japanese was easier than I thought it would be. I have no school tomorrow. () Also, I e-mailed my grandfather (who I actually don't know very well... at all.) Well, no, technically I emailed my grandMOTHER because I didn't know my grandFATHER's e-mail address. My grandfather's a doctor, so I wanted to know if he could give me any information about med school/being a doctor in general (because I THINK I'm going to be either a medical researcher or a practicing hospital doctor) and he says THIS little gem of TOTAL non-obvio...-osity: Hi sara. Keys to all medical schools are excellent grades in high school, interest in math/sciences, and, strangly enough, participation in non-profit organizations(showing liking for the poor, or institutionalized folks). Duke Med has increasinly favored females, andnon Caucasion people , for whatever reasons. Also, any project that you invent, and have knowledge about, can be important. Read extensively, and swim. Love Dale .....T_T Thanks so much, grandpappy. Not that I've seen him since I was.... like, five. He apparently may have connections at Duke University (which... is a university. With a good medical school.) SO hopefully, the fact that I have family that's gone there (my mother's sister became a dentist there, too) might mean I have a better chance of getting in. Not that I'm even sure I want to do that. Anyway that's my life.

Explain the connection, please..... Kudos for your high aspirations, and good luck:) Hurricane like weather, mind if I ask which state you are in?

The rest I haven't really listened to extensively. But what Sara said about not getting enough Muse is 100% TRUE. And I'm really hooked on Fleet Foxes right now. :wacky:
May 1, 200917 yr About the giant ball... It's actually supposed to be a balloon. Cool, huh? "Read extensively....and SWIM?" Explain the connection, please..... It does seem quite random, yeah. I think it's because she does a lot of swimming? Extra curricular stuff helps to get into college.
May 1, 200917 yr I know double posting is stupid, but I want to bump this thread because I feel very bored. Sara and Milica... Since you guys were talking about getting into bands.. You both should really try listening to Hey Rosetta!. I swear that you won't regret it.
May 1, 200917 yr Author I shall go listen now, Laura. Also: "Read extensively....and SWIM?" Explain the connection, please..... Kudos for your high aspirations, and good luck:) Hurricane like weather, mind if I ask which state you are in? Hurricane-like weather = sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight exaggeration :P About the giant ball... It's actually supposed to be a balloon. Cool, huh? It does seem quite random, yeah. I think it's because she does a lot of swimming? Extra curricular stuff helps to get into college. Dingdingding, Laura is teh winnarz! I am a very sooperdedicated hardworking competitive swimmer. Don't underestimate my awesomeness at swimming. (I'd mentioned how my swimming thing was going in the email -- I might be going down to the Speedo Sectional Championships in the area where my grandparents live in 2010, so I wanted to let them know. It isn't likely, tho.)
May 1, 200917 yr I shall go listen now, Laura. How open minded of you. :cheesy: Tell me what you think (even if it is negative).
May 1, 200917 yr Author Hmm... they're interesting! They're good. I like them. I would offer a fantastic criticism hitting on all parts of their music, but I can't be bothered. I like them so far. :nice: Only listened to a few songs, tho. Thanks for the reccomendation. :nice:
May 1, 200917 yr What songs by them did you listen to? I forgot to mention that the band's latest album (released last year) is streaming on their website.
May 1, 200917 yr Author Um... I don't remember anymore. I is stoopid. :P Whichever ones were posted in their thread on the WoM board. There were a few of them. edit: Somebody give me sig ideas, please. The Ninja Chris joke is getting a little old. :dozey: Trying to think of another good one. edit numero two: I just listened to "Handshake The Gangster" by Hey Rosetta! It's really good! :nice: ...Can somebody maybe give me an mp3 copy of it? I want one for my mp3 player. :sweatdrop:

May 1, 200917 yr Listening to Hey Rosetta! should be priority. :D But if you feel that you really can't right now, make sure to give them a try eventually (preferably sooner than later). I'm glad that you think that they're good so far, Sara.
