I know I've been away awhile. Just been busy. I went to 2 Cubs games last week (Sunday vs. Reds & Monday vs. Brewers). Both were fun, Monday's was great though. Some great pitching and defense from both teams makes for a good game.

 

I'm liking the fact that the Cubs haven't officially lost the Central yet - they won't give up. They left St. Louis on Sunday with the Cards' magic number at 4, I believe, and they still haven't been able to clinch. I'll call that an accomplishment in what has been a very disappointing 2 months. The season as a whole hasn't been bad, it's just been since the beginning of August that they fell apart.

 

The Phillies should be worried about those injuries. Pedro doesn't surprise me, but they need either him or Happ back in top form soon, so they'll be ready for the postseason.

 

Red Sox's wild card magic number is 3!!! How sweet would it be for them to clinch the wild card at Yankee Stadium, and keep the Yankees from clinching at the same time! That would be awesome.

Yeah, the Sox need to start playing a LOT better leading into the playoffs. The hot teams are the ones that get to the next round. Hopefully someone can be a spark plug for the last week of the season.

They were all harassing the pitcher for the rest of the game after that, though. So I thought that was awesome. :D
