Empty Echoes

Featured Replies

Another song I made up

___________

As I fall

I can see it all

See the reflections

On my inner wall

And as all my hopes fail

No friend to pay the bail

I can tell I’m alone here

My talking is responded

With empty echoes

Empty echoes

The reflections of reflections

Nothing inside

Nothing on the outside

All I hear

Is empty echoes

I see stars

I’m surrounded by fire

I’m losing my restraint

Revenge is my desire

My inner battle starts

The bullets are flying

I lie dying

I cry to the heavens for help

But all that’s coming back

Is empty echoes

Empty echoes

The voiceless mourn

But I can’t hear their vigil

Empty echoes

The demons scorn

It’s what I hear

The empty echoes

And all I hear is wrong

The speeches and the songs

And as the birds close in

They see me dying

And while I cannot see

What it means to me

It’s like I’m drowning in the sea

Not breathing, I’m crying

I feel it. Feel the ground

Feel the tension in the air

It means nothing to me

I could kill for an answer

I’m telling myself

It will be okay

But it’s inside of me

The empty echoes

Empty Echoes

My mind’s response to me

Don’t know what to believe

Empty echoes

I fall to my knees

My life is now the fee

For the empty echoes

As I die I sink into the sky

As I die I sink into the sky

And I realize man can’t truly fly

And I don’t think I will ever see

Why real truth can never be

Why the ground is separate from the sea

Why the lock is separate from the key

And why you aren’t here with me

And the empty echoes

They can’t take my soul

Oh empty echoes

Leave me; come back when you’re full

Empty echoes

The darkness now is clearly nigh

As I end my fall

And sink into the sky…

I hope John doesn't see this...:uhoh:

why?

Because John's sort of an ass. And he'll probably make an ass-full comment on it. Probably.

why?

cause our band has a song called Empty Spaces and he'll come along and like "don't steal our songs!" or something stupid like that

would your band happen to be called "Pink Floyd" LOL

Its very focussed on, you. Theres about 70 "I"s and 30 "Me"s. I used to write the same way when I was 14/15 but realised although its fine for me to read, its incredibly boring for anyone else to try and engage or relate to.

^It could be a rap song though. I guess that would make it okay.

I can sort of imagine that

I'm gonna bump a thread I made last week. I think you should have some good stories.
