I'm kinda just starting to. The only books I've read by him are 'Salem's Lot, Misery and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon but they were all fantastic :D

I finished reading Salem's Lot. That book is horrifying!

  • Author

yea, that book is very scary.

The Body, AKA the film Stand By Me is good

Love that story and the film! One of my faves! :)

"The Stand" is a good one - very long, not especially scary but a really good read. Not read "It" (hubby's reading that at the mo for the squillionth time!) but have seen the film version and that was scary enough - always hated clowns and that did nothing to change my opinion. :stunned: :stunned:

"Thinner" is worth a look too and "The Green Mile"

Thinner was a really creepy story. I liked it.

They usually are, aren't they? That's why I'm too scared to read "It"!!

yea, I was afraid of clowns even when I was a baby. Watching that movie was really freaky for me! haha

hehe! Clowns ARE scary though! I mean whats the deal with their big hair, and big red nose? And their massive feet? :stunned:

It's so that their expressions are exaggerated, that's why! hahahah. I heard it from somebody a long time ago.

yea, IT was freaky. It's really creepy how the clown would go after the kids and scare them, and he would keep on going, unless they killed it. Wasn't the clown actually an alien that took on the appearence of a clown? I think that was it.

Can't remember exactly - think I've attempted to cleanse my mind of the memory!!! Seem to remember Tim Curry morphing into a gigantic clown/spider thingy near the end of the film

that was Tim Curry??? oh cool.

The part that freaked me out was when the kid was in the bathroom, and then she heard the clown's voice in the sink saying he was going to find her and kil her or something. And then, a bubble came up from the sink, and it popped, and blood sprayed all over the bathroom. And the kid was the only one that could see it. And the father came in and said "what's wrong?" and he couldn't see the blood, even though he was getting it all over his clothes.

that was Tim Curry??? oh cool.

yeah I love that guy but NOT in that film!! I hated the bit where they're in the library (I think) as adults, someone opens the fridge door and the guy's head is in there and he starts doing a comedy routine!! :o

I'm getting really freaked out now, remembering all those gross things!!!

yeah it was Tim Curry! He still looked pretty scary though! and that part WAS freaky!
