Nathan, as you said, you thinking that he's a shitty human being is your OPINION. In my opinion Mark is a great person. He's done absolutely nothing wrong to me, he's been fun to know on cping and he sure doesn't need to describe someone as an "utterly shit of a human being" to make his point.

If you feel that a friend of yours is wrong about something, just educate them on the matter so they can seek a further understanding of what's going on. To be honest, I wouldn't consider her a "good friend" (and I don't mean that as an insult) I don't even know her that well. For someone to think Mark is "a great man" in my mind, implies a lot about the personality of the person saying it, that personality is not one that I could get on with.

Ah, I see. Well then, I see you both are talking to each other again. I'm supposing that's a good thing. But, even as a normal friend or a friend still relative to an acquaintance, I figure, you would at least ask them why they think that way and tell them about what's been happening during the time that they were away, before you'd actually "refuse" to speak to them. If they continued to support their feelings towards what you're against after you've explained to them, I'd understand the refusal of talking better.
