But the idea of filming a music video in reverse is not new, even when The Scientist came out. The first video that started this would probably be the Spike Jonze-directed Drop by Pharcyde. Otherwise off the top of my head, I know Australian band Eskimo Joe did it for their single New York as well. And Mute Math for Typical. All of them are great in their own right.

OMG!! OMG!!! I know what you guys are talking about... i was watching American Idol a couple weeks back and it showed like 30 secs of it... and i automatically though The Scientist... but no one like him... if any David, it'd be David Archadorable!!!!!!!!!

I knew David Cook was gonna win, seriously everyone doubted me, and everyone I knew was in love with David A., Buttt.... I told them the day before the finals my money's on Cook, I even made a bet with my friend ( earned $20 :D) But the video does remind me of the scientist like the woods part and the wall :angry: rip off

LOL, yeah it reminded me of 'The Scientist' when I first saw it, although it isn't quite as well done and a different scenario. I would think it's more a compliment than a copy...
