"on sundays ring road supermarket" kinda has bad memories of when I worked in a supermarket where all these mundane shoppers would do exactly this, round the ringroad of my city to the massive Tesco I worked at on a Sunday :disappointed: ugh I despised it.

I didn't mean that the song was depressing in a bad way. More of in an "interesting" way. I like your little description. The "computerized bland society that is lacking a pulse" idea contributes to it being depressing (to me). Way back when I first heard Fitter Happier, I didn't really get it, but now I think that it represents the album well.
