Do you own the Bends and/or (What's the Story) Morning Glory?

Featured Replies

This poll is based on a comment that howyouseetheworld made about none of his friends owning the Bends.

He was saying that (What's the Story) Morning Glory was the album of the year in 1995.

So I'm interested to know if you:

Own The Bends

Own Whats the Story

Own Both

Own Neither.

I own both of them.

My choice for album of the year between those two... what do you think? :P

I don't own albums. I download albums. I downloaded both.

Definitely (What's the Story) Morning Glory. :P

I Wonder(wall) what it would be?

I also own both. Think both are great albums. Although I have heard Wonderwall at one too many campfires.

oh yeah of course morning glory... you guys know how much more i love Oasis than Radiohead, and how much I talk about them compared to Radiohead

Oh.. To choose between two of my favoritebands?

I love Oasis, but Radiohead is like an religion. ;)

I'd choose Radiohead. Sorry Oasis.

I have all of The Bends obviously, but only Champagne Supernova off Morning Glory. Not as into Oasis as I am into Radiohead.

God, wonderwall is the worst song off that album.

I have both and I love both. Morning Glory was the very first album I bought. To choose between those two I'd say Morning Glory.

got both. love both. The Bends is better marginally. but if this was Definately Maybe vs The Bends then i would say oasis

i don't actually own either of them..

*leaves the thread in shame*

Own Morning Glory.

Ripped The Bends from uncle's massive CD collection.

Own both, love both, listen to both frequently (though perhaps the Bends a little more often).

From my fuzzy non-music-listening memories of the time, Oasis was inescapable at the time though not necessarily seen as part of the mainstream scene because they were sooo 'British' about everything while Radiohead were much more underground and alternative. I don't think I ever even heard of them for another 3 years after that or so.

Goodness, now that I think of it I was in 7th grade going through hell on earth in 95... A very good year for music; a very bad year for me. huh.

Yup, I'd agree with that. I have both albums but whereas I got Morning Glory the year it came out, I only bought The Bends last year.

Oasis were the band of the moment that year. All the hype and focus was on the whole Oasis v Blur thing. And Radiohead weren't exactley Britpop...

HCA wasn't exactly an environment that exposed me to Oasis and Radiohead :P

i've been thinking of getting the bends. I don't really like oasis except for 2 songs

I've owned both of them at different times in my life, but I only currently own The Bends. I used to own the What's the Story Morning Glory, but I had to sell it back for money to a resell shop when I was in college. I needed the money.

So...I've owned both, but I only voted on for The Bends, since that is the one I currently own.

Well in Britain everyone chooses Morning Glory over The Bends. The Bends is back in that area of Blur's The Great Escape, Oasis were that far ahead and that album is still selling bucketloads. If you don't own an Oasis album then for the love of GOD BUY THIS. It's one of the all tim greats. You won't regret it!
