does god have sense of humour?

Obviously yes, or else he wouldn't have made it so damn fun to laugh at other's misfortunes.

I don't think an omniscient being would find humor unless it was redefined. Because laughing is madness. That being would be interested in what it can't predict. Dismissing god with, "I'm sure it laughs at all our misfortunes" would be a very foolish blanket statement. I know that's not exactly what you said. But I heard someone say it before... An all powerful being would see choices made and hope that it is loved.

I would also say that misfortune is an irrelevant factor in an imperfect world, to that being. The purpose of misfortune is the same purpose of fortune. Our feelings waver, and our spirits waver. Feelings affect our decisions. Misfortune, or sadness is simply an altered state of consciousness that could be expected. There is no reason why an omniscient being would find humor in anything, when it could predict any event occurring. I don't even know if another omnipotent being could affect the feelings of god since I don't know that an all powerful being would be affected by outer influences.

Yes, it's so hilarious that some people have faith in things.

I can laugh at myself and some of the absurdities of Christians, but it's not really hilarious to me when people laugh just because I believe in God.

I don't laugh at Buddhists or atheists or whoever. I don't feel bad for them because they don't believe what I believe.

It pisses me off when people say things like "I laugh because you believe in God" or whatever.

Yeah. All my neighbors met in a house to pray and sing and blah blah. That's not my thing... and also they could spend that time in a more productive activity or I dunno. Like TechnicolorGreenEyes said there's nothing wrong with believing in god.

There is nothing wrong with believing in a personal god, anyone who has an issue with that is a moron

Organized religion is evil though

Organized religion itself is not evil, the idea of getting together with others of the same faith is actually a healthy idea on paper. It is what people have done to the idea that is evil; forced spread of the religion and using it for political reasons have corrupted almost every religion.

Christianity was bad from the start, it's almost like it treats itself like a virus

You MUST spread the word, etc

The bible tells you to slay the non-believers and burn their houses to the ground

all of the evil in organized religion is by no means a modern thing

The Dark Ages in britian were almost purely caused by Christianity refusing to use Roman Catholic culture and throwing out years of progress and burning books they didn't agree with

I could go on for ages tbh

A sort of satisfaction is better than none at all.

And it's true. Sometimes all you have is your faith.

I'm not claiming to be some huge Christian Jesus-fanatic, but without being told to do good things, a lot of people never would. Sure, people should want to do good things just because, but really...even in a world filled with religion, we don't generally trust strangers anyway...

wtf am I talking about again?
