August 30, 200322 yr man, i would KILL to have boring meetings where i work. ah, to actually be inside, in a chair, with air conditioning, working with your brain and not with your back, and relatively clean (by which i mean not soaked with sweat and covered with a layer of dirt). you begin to appreciate the little things like that that make a job tolerable when you work for a construction company. only a couple more weeks for me though, then it's back off to school where i can change to my lazy slacker alter-ego. :D
August 30, 200322 yr Author five am! wow! that's too early for me! ooo.. construction.. they're constructing a building next to where i work and everytime i pass it i always think, "that would be cool to be a contstruction worker for a day! to work with my hands!, but it seems like hard work. all the construction workers are also always outside at like ~12 eating their lunch together watching as people go by...
August 30, 200322 yr That's really cool..how did you start that? Hi gvargas! Left full time work to have a baby - decided I absolutely definitely had to be a full-time-at-home mum, did a few odds n sods from home, made my mum's wedding invites for her 2nd marriage, got another job off the back of those then thought :idea2: what a cool way to make money! Booked a wedding fair, got another half dozen orders and haven't looked back! :D I'm doing something I love, at my own pace and it fits around my family life    What do u do?

August 30, 200322 yr The thing is I'm supposed to enjoy it at the moemnt its a new job, I've only been there a month and I'm sick of it already...but that mostly due to the fact that the assistant manager is a whiney bastard who has an ego so large that it goes out the shop doors and down to the end of the high street! I hate him! *rant over...for now...just wait til I get home, there will be a lot to rant about no doubt*

August 30, 200322 yr What do u do? That's nice that you get to work at home! I am jobless at the moment. I was teaching for the last three years at a school, but the commute was way to long and I thought it was time to go. I don't know if I made the right choice...I guess I did becuase I was always drained when I came home. Anyways I'm looking for a subbing postition before I can get a full time job. We'll see.... :uneasy: I'd love to be able to work outside!
