oh...cool beans! presentations are nice...when you don't have to be the one giving them! ;-)

umm...middle ages social history....look into Carmina Burana by Karl Orff..well, that's the music, but the music is based on the stories written by monks and such...it's a really interesting read on european society of middle ages. (actually, isn't calling it 'middle ages' a slur among the intelligentsia? they liked to have detailed names for each period! :D )

Ohhh, she gave us a book to read, we shall present what the author says in there. And yes, it's much nicer when one is not the one who has to present the whole stuff.

 oh...that's so much easier. you already have a book to read, you just have to comment on it and have your ideas on it...i liked those kinds of papers when I was in uni... I figured, I could never go wrong...all I had to do was present my point of view and back it up with reasoning/quotes, etc.. lol

ooohh i loved those days! :-) mine was a wonderful college :-) Ginger can attest to that!

hehe cool

I prefer presentations on primary literature I guess, poems and stuff. o.o

We get a grade for this presentation and we got a sheet with about 30 things we shall pay attention to, how we shall present it etc. And after every presentation every student gets 2 lil papers and they shall write one positive and one negative thing about each presenter. That feels so stupid.

wow :stunned: that's pretty damned strutctured...i don't like it that way. I mean...it's a humanities class...the teacher just as to make sure you're into it and giving your effort...all this 'have to' stuff cramps your style!

Indeed. I don't think anyone would be so careless to make a totally crappy presentation. Moreover, we are the only guys (that's 4 groups or so) with a large 30 minutes presentation coz we need it to get credit for B.A. The others only have to present what the single tales are about in 5 minutes.

B.A.? when do you get that? don't know if the university system is same over there as it is here. here, most B.A.'s take 4 years...harder subjects, people don't get out for 5 or 6 years! :sneaky:

but congeratz to you for getting thru your degree program thus far!

I used to study for Magister, dunno if that's like M.A. there, thought it was. But umm the Magister degree is running out and I wanted to leave my old uni really bad to come back here and for other personal reasons, so I'm doing B.A. now, should take 2,5 more years.

ya'll have a big matura party after high school...guess it'll be huge when you get done with your first uni degree! best wishes to you!

wait...think 'matura' is what they call it in Austria, not Germany....you people call it something else, it's escaping my mind right now :snore:

lol awwww dunno bout matura :/

Anyway, I'm off to record music and work for presentation.

Byeeeeeee
