I have to file the report for the car accident I was in. You only have to go if the damage is over $1000....the damage is $4700. :(

No! I was stopped at a yield sign waiting for my turn to enter the traffic circle (there were two cars in it already so I had to wait) and a guy from my school came up behind me in his massive truck, and hit some ice and crashed into me!!

The taillight got totally smashed, the bumper has lifted off, there's a big dent on the hatch of the truck (it's a van) and other random damage. But it's bad because under the taillight and bumper, like on the body of the vehicle, is kinda screwed up too. :disappointed:

And the van is in perfect condition otherwise, and we've never had any problems with it for the whole 10 years we've had it. But since it's old, it's worth $4000 so that means they consider the car "totalled" because MPI won't pay more than what it's worth for damage. :bigcry:

I'm in huge trouble, and it wasn't even my fault.

MPI covers the cost though, except if they decide to auction off our van and make us get a new one (they give you like $6000 towards a new car but that doesn't really cover the whole cost!) then it'll cost us some. But the stupid guy who hit me has to pay for our deductible.
