July 21, 200916 yr NO! PLEASE DON'T BE EMO!! Life is for living, it's beautiful...and depending on the person, they could have different points for which they live life :nice:
July 21, 200916 yr Author For spamming, which I'm about to do to 44000 accounts in a few minutes! Thanks for that insight NO! PLEASE DON'T BE EMO!! Ah yes, questioning things, I must be listening to Fall Out Boy!
July 21, 200916 yr Author Living it. But all it leads up to is death, so what was the point in living?
July 21, 200916 yr Ah yes, questioning things, I must be listening to Fall Out Boy! NO NATHAN!!!! :bigcry: I refuse to sit here and let you listen to Fall Out Boy...
July 21, 200916 yr Author NO NATHAN!!!! :bigcry: I refuse to sit here and let you listen to Fall Out Boy... Don't fucking ruin this thread with your retardedness, I know it's hard Can anyone actually justify living?
July 21, 200916 yr But all it leads up to is death, so what was the point in living? Dying peacefully?
July 21, 200916 yr Author Dying peacefully? So the point of living is just to get a comfortable death? Then if the inevitability is still just death, then why be alive in the first place?
July 21, 200916 yr Life is for living, it's beautiful...and depending on the person, they could have different points for which they live life :nice: she is right, some people find their main point in life is family, others find it on job, others on hobbies, the list is endless. But all it leads up to is death, so what was the point in living? that's right too, life/death, is normal, the thing is leave an impression on the people we've known, we all influence other people, like it or not, for bad and good. one teacher i had at high school said the first day of class: there's only two things in life which we are not asked for or aware about which are: when we get born and when we die, that's the only "compulsory" things in life, to born and to die, in the meanwhile we live and so we decide what to do or not to do.
July 21, 200916 yr I don't think there is really a point to life, just like there is no point in not living.
July 21, 200916 yr Author that's right too, life/death, is normal, the thing is leave an impression on the people we've known, we all influence other people, like it or not, for bad and good. one teacher i had at high school said the first day of class: there's only two things in life which we are not asked for or aware about which are: when we get born and when we die, that's the only "compulsory" things in life, to born and to die, in the meanwhile we live and so we decide what to do or not to do. So the point of life is to influence other people's lives? That doesn't make sense, because for the influence to be needed then life would have to exist in the first place, there was no purpose for life to exist in the first place by your logic.
July 21, 200916 yr life is for living. while you're right about "the inevitability is still just death, then why be alive in the first place?", would you rather not have been able to enjoy all the things the world has to offer? sure, life has its ups and downs, but you should live it to the fullest extent :nice: if that makes ANY sense at all :D
July 21, 200916 yr Life is an accident and there is no point since a "point" is a human concept. Basically just live and do what makes you happy and be thankful that this great accident happened.
July 21, 200916 yr There is no meaning, if we all died now, never to return in the grand scale of things it wouldn't mean a thing to the universe. We are pointless. But if that's too depressing, here are some alternatives on a smaller scale/clichés It's to enjoy life and make the most of the short time we have on this planet. Procreation. Love. Haven't you already answered this yourself?
July 21, 200916 yr Author life is for living. while you're right about "the inevitability is still just death, then why be alive in the first place?", would you rather not have been able to enjoy all the things the world has to offer? sure, life has its ups and downs, but you should live it to the fullest extent :nice: if that makes ANY sense at all :D So what about the people who just suffer for their entire lives, nothing goes right for them, living life to it's fullest extent for them is to make it through the day, is it really better for them to have lived and suffered?
July 21, 200916 yr Author Haven't you already answered this yourself? No I haven't that was me mocking other people for spurring out clichés in a different thread
July 21, 200916 yr So the point of life is to influence other people's lives? That doesn't make sense, because for the influence to be needed then life would have to exist in the first place, there was no purpose for life to exist in the first place by your logic. so you meant, life as the origin of things, not the period when we are alive? that is yet on debate, i think none of us will find the right answer because nobody knows the answer, but michael is right.
