So the point of living is just to get a comfortable death? Then if the inevitability is still just death, then why be alive in the first place?

that's right too, life/death, is normal, the thing is leave an impression on the people we've known, we all influence other people, like it or not, for bad and good.

 

one teacher i had at high school said the first day of class:

there's only two things in life which we are not asked for or aware about which are: when we get born and when we die, that's the only "compulsory" things in life, to born and to die, in the meanwhile we live and so we decide what to do or not to do.

I don't think there is really a point to life, just like there is no point in not living.

These are hard questions...

Life is an accident and there is no point since a "point" is a human concept. Basically just live and do what makes you happy and be thankful that this great accident happened.

There is no meaning, if we all died now, never to return in the grand scale of things it wouldn't mean a thing to the universe. We are pointless.

 

But if that's too depressing, here are some alternatives on a smaller scale/clichés

 

It's to enjoy life and make the most of the short time we have on this planet.

 

Procreation.

 

Love.

So what about the people who just suffer for their entire lives, nothing goes right for them, living life to it's fullest extent for them is to make it through the day, is it really better for them to have lived and suffered?
