What is it like at a Coldplay Concert?

Featured Replies

I was wondering what it is like at Coldplay concerts. See, i was going to see another concert in Sept. (OneRepublic, my favorite band, though no offense, cause i love coldplay) but i found out that the tickets were like $50, which is outrageous.

So i then saw coldplay had a concert in august where i live, and the tickets aren't nearly as expensive.

But what is it like. I don't mind excessive cursing, but i dont want my parents thinking that coldplay is a bad band or whatever. lol So should i prepare them or me for anything that doesn't happen at normal concerts. (Sorry for the long explaination, im just kinda excited about it! lol)

I think Chris dropped the f-bomb once in St. Louis, it was in a song lyric he made up. I'm not a fan of the f-word, but have uttered it on occasion! ;)

I went with my 20 year old daughter, so I'm probably your parents' age. I LOVE Coldplay and trust me, i don't think your parents will be offended in anyway whatsoever. I think they will have a wonderful time and enjoy themselves immensely, as will you!

St. Louis was my first time to see them and they put on an awesome show!

thank you. thats good to know. like i said, i dont really get offended by it, but i just don't want my parents to go with me and not enjoy it too, and it sounds like they will enjoy it, so thank you.

Chris dropped the f-bomb three times at my most recent concert. Once as part of a made-up song, once in conversation, and once because he messed up a note. But I wouldn't call that excessive cursing, so as long as you warn your parents about a potential few bad words, you'll be in shape for an absolutely FANTASTIC time. ;)

Well, you will see thousands of people, a lot of security, one or two opening acts, the beautiful stage with Delacroix's painting and finally Coldplay.

The light effects are really good, they change from background every now and then, B-Stage and C-Stage are very exciting as well. At the end, you will have a great time and memories that will last forever.

The lighting was awesome!!

The butterflies were cool too! It was neat to look up and see zillions of them fluttering down!

:P

I just saw Coldplay on Monday and Chris said the f word a couple times (4 or 5). It was just when he messed up in 42 and when he was singing this jingle type thing about the venue. I went with my mom and she loved it! They're so great to see even if you don't by expensive tickets I had lawn seats & had a great time, they were amazing. My friend saw OneRepublic last year and no offense but I think you may have a better time at Coldplay, there's just so much more put into their show than what OneRepublic's sounded like.

I'm going to see Coldplay at the Raliegh, NC concert. I know that he does say the f word sometimes. It's not like excessive, just he slips them in.

Hahaha Chris drops the f-bomb at EVERY concert. I think it's funny when he says it.

It's one of those Martin's traditions.

And no offense back at you (lol) but its gonna be pretty hard to top the 2 OneRepublic concerts ive been, cause ive had the time of my life at both. i love the music and the performance of it.

And nice on the proper spelling of OneRepulic. most spell it with spaces, and you didnt. lol

Haha, no one spells it right it seems. As hard as it might be, Coldplay might possibly just do it. I thought I was going to have a horrible time (because I had lawn seats) & it was probably the best time I have ever had. Having them play two or three feet in front of me was the icing on the cake, I think. Lol.
