What does? The game? Becoming Champion of that was the most boring hour of my life, the only reason nobody has a high score is because of how incredibly boring it is.

I haven't been paying much attention, but its like that a lot. Oddly when a new album comes out we normally get a bunch of people who are outcasted from the fangirls in the Coldplay sections, and usually they are pure gold, but this albums so shit it hasn't attracted anyone with a braincell to come on here.

I remember when I was a stupid fangirl.

This album is so shitty.

 

I was such a fangirl that I want to go back in time and punch myself in the face.

I can't be bothered to listen to the album.

I listened to only Coldplay day in and day out for a year.

 

It was Oasis that got me listening to other stuff. :|

I've never liked Coldplay, I never understood why they were a good band when they first came out, but I could at least see the appeal. They are like a boyband with an ingenious marketing squad behind them, for example someone realised after X and Y that there's a huge gaping market in South America, so they released an album with the title Viva La Vida, which hasn't been a success in Britain or Europe generally, but they reached the intended target market, and sold shedloads of albums. Very clever.

 

This new album however, I'm even more confused as to who can really think this is great.

Have you tried Sigur Ros? That band opened me up to music, before them all I listened to was 90's Grunge. Now I'm pretty much open to anything and more importantly since understanding Sigur Ros, I know what I like in music, be it techno, rap, classical etc. Pink Floyd are another eye-opening band.

 

But Oasis just made me listen to bands like The Verve, Blur, Reef etc.

Sigur Ros is da bomb.

I don´t even want to listen to the rest of it.

 

I still listen to their earlier stuff quite a bit :anxious: But only to remember THE GOOD TIMES.

I forget what band got me listening to variety of music. I didn´t really like bands that have the same sound as Coldplay..

I don't think that's a variety of music, more a variety of alternative rock.

 

What made you join a Coldplay messageboard?

 

To make fun of Coldplay, but I was like 15. I was on many different messageboards at the time but this one was particularly appealing, Coldplay fans come across like Mormons, you may not understand their beliefs but to be fair they are for the most part calm and nice.
