A shame there won't be a Series 5 :(

There's been some really good episodes but it's not a great show or anything, I think it's run its course, that sense of humour was beginning to get laboured and I don't like seeing good shows go past their limit, makes you forget how good it originally was.

I want a series 5 nonetheless :(

Fair one, it would probably still be good enough.

I wish they had left Scrubs at series 8, but nope had to ruin that ending.

I only really liked the first few series of Scrubs, then it got a bit TOO silly, by the end it was just ridiculous, the random day-dream sequences actually started to take up half of the episode which tried to make you forget about the horrible plots going on.

 

American shows tend to do that a lot more, another example is That 70s Show, I forgot just how funny the first handful of series were and also how great Ashton Kutcher was in it. And then of course the Simpsons, which now officially has more bad episodes then good ones- although of course the good ones were so good they still outweigh the crap they're doing now.

 

This side of the Atlantic tends to have a bit more class for comedy, from Fawlty Towers to Father Ted, there is a standard of quality a great show has to stick to, if they can't stick to it they will just stop.

shorter shows like fawlty towers seem to be remembered more because they were good rather than dragging it out longer, but even when shows are lacking I still seem to find some enjoyment from it and I actually found series 4 of I.T Crowd to be funny.

Don't get me wrong I also felt it was funny, but slipping, and I wouldn't like to see it get worse. I don't even like Fawlty Towers, I don't get it at all (And I'm like that with a LOT of 'classic' British comedy) but respect where it's due, they probably could've strung that show out for years and made a lot more money from it.

I like Fawlty Towers but yeah it makes me laugh but not nearly as much as I.T Crowd or my favourite comedians. My dad would laugh his head off at all the old shows and as it was going along ruin the surpises which were annoying

every time i see your user title i end up listening to failure to excommunicate and then i go into full-on dave mode and then i get depressed that he's gone and if i see them live he won't be there and someone else will have to do his parts and stuff and then i listen to attack cat and remember that he thinks i'm cool but then i'm like whoa what if he and his wife don't actually love me like they said i bet they're just being nice because it doesn't make sense cause i make a fool of myself on their facebook page all the time and then yeah shut up crests

also i am full of teenage angst because my only class of the morning is second period and we're having a pep rally instead so i could have taken the whole morning off but they're taking attendance before and after ugh

also i am still mourning the death of a freaking minor character from a freaking webcomic. guys, don't eat uranium.
