August 6, 200916 yr I was thinking I should read some. But I only want to read them if they're about people I care about and you know, if the biographies are actually good. Plus, if my local library has them. Right now I think I have "U2 by U2" on my list. And that's it. Anyone have any suggestions please?
August 6, 200916 yr i dunno if you like rhcp, but "scar tissue" by anthony keidis is pretty good. also, "room full of mirrors" by charles r. cross. its on jimi hendrix(:
August 6, 200916 yr Author I like a few RHCP tunes, not so much the other stuff mentioned. So I don't know, I would feel kind of odd reading a Bio if I don't even know the music well. Did Morrissey ever write that autobiography?
August 7, 200916 yr Author what if its not in danger yet? PS. Has anyone read U2 by U2. Is it any good? I'm gonna go pick that up when I'm done my other book.
August 7, 200916 yr ^I've always wanted to thumb through that. I have a copy of "exit music", a biography on radiohead my brother bought, but it was published in 2000, which sort of misses the whole story....
August 7, 200916 yr Author ^Yeah. I was looking at that one. Is it post Kid A? Anyways, my library doesn't have it. I dunno if it's worth picking up if it "sort of misses the whole story."
August 7, 200916 yr I've browsed through U2 by U2 and yeah it is pretty good.... from what I read & saw. But really even if your not an RHCP fan Scar Tissue is still a good book for any fan of rock music or just music in general and all the stuff we dont even have any idea about that these bands go through.
August 7, 200916 yr Author Hmm. Yeah. I read up on it a bit. Lots of drugs and sex. I think I might read that one. It's on hold though so I'll probably have to wait a while. Thanks for the suggestion.

August 7, 200916 yr Surely your library could get any book for you, even if they don't stock the book themselves? If you like Blur, Alex James' "Bit of a Blur" is excellent
August 17, 200916 yr Author I finally picked up U2 by U2 today. Holy shit, it's huge and full of brilliant pictures. Can't wait to dig in.
