Coldplay had a techno version of Viva la Vida playing as they transitioned from their lawn stage back to the front. Does anyone know where I can get this song? Sorry if this has been discussed. Thanks in advance.

You must mean the Thin White Duke Mix of Viva la Vida. It was released on Coldplay.com last December, but you can still find it if you try searching in this forum's Multimedia section. ;)

Does anyone know the name of the remix version of "Viva La Vida" played at the Viva La Vida tour? :inquisitive:

 

I went to the concert in Herning on the 16th of August - it was AMAZING! - and I think they played the remix version of this song, when the band had to return to the scene after having played the cover version of MJs "Billie Jean". :rolleyes:

On the setlist that I got from the sound guy, it's just called Viva Remix. There are recording of it that have been uploaded.

Hmmm, ok... I just guess this version of the song must have a title - like Viva La Vida [David Guetta Remix], for example. :thinking:

I have checked out the Thin White Duke Remix now. However, I don't think that it sounds like the remix played at the concert...? I'm missing the sequence where the vocals are "distorted" - I remember that the vocals were very weak at the beginning and then they fade up to a much stronger level... :confused:

 

I'm not questioning whether you're right or wrong - from my memory, the remix played at the concert was just much more "intense". Maybe it was caused by the awesome concert - I don't know... :D

 

Any other note-worthy remixes of this song which I should check out? ;)

I remember when Chris and Will where singing Hardest part, everyone was so quiet. But I still sang my heart out, I was pressed up against many other people. They gave me dirty looks, I guess because I was like singing right into their freaking ears :laugh3:
