Repeating Lyrics

Featured Replies

I was looking up lyrics this morning, and I had a thought. I knew that Chris had used "Now my feet won't touch the ground" in both Life in Technicolor 2, and also in the song titled "Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground" on Prospekt's March.

But then I found that he says "If you never try, then you'll never know" in Speed of Sound, as well as Fix You. I knew the line from Fix You, but hadn't realized that it was also in Speed of Sound.

Are there other songs where certain lyrics are re-used?

He also sings : Now my feet wont touch the ground, In Strawberry swing

In that other version of Talk posted on our Tampa thread there's a plethora of oft used Chrissy-quotes. I'll have to listen again & jot 'em down.....

In parachutes they have lines about living in a bubble in both Trouble (But here am I in my little bubble) and High Speed (We've been living life inside a bubble).

Not exactly the same though.

and 'bubble' is used again in Warning Sign.

ticking [of] clocks in Clocks and A Whisper.

as was said before, in the alternate version of Talk he says "going nowhere much too fast" which is almost the same as Glass of Water (especially because the line before it is "in the future, in the past").
