The Farewell Coldplay Thread

Featured Replies

^ Yeah, hopefully new album and tour isn't too far away!

This time has been incredible.

I was at the concert in Stockholm 22/8-09 and it honestly took me a week to just understand I had been there. I remember sitting on the sidewalk afterwards talking to my mum on the phone not knowing what to say about it. I had had the best night of my life. How the hell do you describe that?

I've been through that too. I was at the Paris gig - AMAZING!!! All my friends are still asking me about it and I don't know what to tell them. It's one of those things that you just have to see for yourself :)

I will never forget the Viva chant we did while waiting for the subway after the concert!!! Soo many people singing and having a great time :crown:

I don't know what to say,. :blank:

This tour has been amazing! I remember I would go on their website EVERYDAY to check where they were. And now,..theres nothing. No tour dates, and not even the bright VIVA painting on the front page :blank:

I SO understand you ... I loved "following" them on tour through their website, checking what was new and knowing that there were new surprises everyday, I couldn't get enough of it ! So knowing it's over for now ... arg .

The concert I went to was so intense, there were so much emotions that it has changed me for good . It was perfect and it's hard to describe it with words . I will never EVER forget it .

It was my first Coldplay gig and I promised to myself it won't be the last one ... So

thank you Coldplay for giving us so much, VLV tour is over but it's the begining of a new journey, a bright future lies ahead !

I'd just like to say this:

Chris, Jonny, Guy, and Will, congratulations on an amazingly beautifully, wonderful, epic, awesome, and just generally spektakular(notice the spelling)tour. I am sad that the Viva era has come to a close, but the future looks bright and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in the coming years. I feel honored to have joined the ranks of your fans during the Viva era, and am eagerly anticipating the chance to see you switch "eras" for the first time. I ♥ you guys deeply and sincerely-you've changed my entire life and that means so much to me.

Hey! That's what I was going to write!

I totally agree. They have changed my life too, to the better. And helped me a lot.

Thanks for everything, boys. You've given me the greatest two years of my life. Four times in ten months just isn't enough, though! See you when the new album's out. :nice:!!

I'm going to miss you guys so much. I'm probably the most obsessed 12 year old Coldplay in America, and I'm so proud of myself for going through the entire VLV era and making it to your concert in Mansfield. I love, love, love you guys. I just do, I'm on the edge of tears right now.

I think I'm getting to carried away so I'm going to stop and just post a video that summarizes my feelings:

Coldplay--

Thank you for creating wonderful music for me to listen to. You always inspire me to be a better pianist or artist than I can be.

And you brought me out of a slump that I felt months ago...I wasn't suicidal, but I wasn't extremely happy either. You always found the right words to tell me how I felt, and to make my day better. And even if you couldn't express my feelings in words, there were always the pure instrumentals to give me that soaring feeling of freedom...freedom from the place that slowly drained my soul...:(

I'm glad that I had the chance to discover you. You're just...awesome. Keep doing whatever you do, and never lose that passion for music! ;)

And finally, thank you Coldplaying for keeping my up to date on what Coldplay's been up to...and welcoming me into your community.

PLEASE make a better record next time, kthx? that would be cool.

All Points West on August 2nd was the best day of my life. After being in the rain and the mud and standing for eight hours, seeing Coldplay perform made everything seem trivial. I was less than ten feet from the stage and it was magical. Thinking about it now sends shivers down my spine. It was an amazing show and the best first Coldplay concert that could even be imagined. I can't wait for the next time they're around here because I'll be the first one to get tickets to the show :)

Actually its not my first time watching them at All Points West but yeah i say its just an amazing concert really.I was just almost front row just behind VIP section. And ,actually before when i went i am just in front row.But i left that area and moved some what side and this time i am just in front of the band where there's b-stage and in my place ending. And imagine how much near i watched them? Just 1 or 2 feet.:shocked2:If i leaned more i'ld have touched Chris and his piano there.:shocked2:But yeah i saw them for the first time at Today show. All the shows i attended are there in my signature.;)Every single one of them are just brilliant.Especially i remember Philly,IZOD center NJ OCt 27 one and Camden,NJ and All Points West ofcourse. Most brilliant shows ever.:)

Coldplay

thank you so so so much for making my life 100 times better

:hug:where would I be without you?

you guys just keep being sweet and I can't wait until the next record

Coldplay was first with the butterflies, right?

Coldplay was first, and this is even after they had done a concert in Denmark (where the clip is from) ....:o

How lame to steal the idea

Yes I was SO angry when I first saw this! :(

The music, the singers AND the fact that they stole the idea sucks. :whip: @ them.
