Thanks Mark. as always you are fair with me and I will be with you.

Ditto. As I said, I've never had a problem with harmless "p*ss-taking". That's not what this is about.;)

I know it's not. I still don't think he should have been banned. I will respect Ian's decision but not support it.

Actually, what I said was that anyone can find anything offensive if they choose to, and that's pretty much what happens.

Some people on here find it offensive if you criticise certain football teams or rap stars.

That's just how it is.

The difference with Victor is that he makes a habit of going around directly attacking other members, very often without any provocation, hence my point that most of these arguments wouldn't happen if he weren't around.;)

Some people can get offended when you criticise football teams or singers, but you've critised religions and trust me thats beyong offensive and it gets worse when you think criticise people believes is funny.

He's insulted me, called me names and stuff, it's annoying cuz no one likes to be insulted, but when you make comments about religions and calling some traditional things about religion "ridiculous" is beyond offensive.

So when can we go running naked through the streets, huh, huh ??

Any time you like. Just don't let "them" mounties catch you.

We don't even know why he was banned.

We don't even know why he was banned.

Did he keep "insulting" people?

Also, I hope Ian realizes Nathan's only going to be dickier towards everyone when he comes back. He was getting fairly docile and then the only reason he got banned was all of this "banning bad words" nonsense.

yeah I suppose it was because of his sig, which is ridiculous.

Totally agree. He was toning it down and then yesterday happened...................

what did his sig said? Sorry, I wasn't around yesterday :\

I have never criticised any religion on here to my knowledge, with the possible exception of Scientology, which I might have made fun of as many people do.

I may have criticised religious extremists/fanatics, but I think that's fair comment as their behaviour is totally unacceptable.

Pieces of clothing don't count.

There was even a Sikh guy on The Wright Stuff a few days ago who said it's perfectly acceptable to joke with him about his turban as it's his hair that is "sacred", not what he uses to cover it up.

The problem is that some people are way too sensitive about things and read too much into stuff.;)

It called Mark an unfunny c.unt, and had a string of swear words in it, and then it called Mark an unfunny c.un.t with a string of swear words after being edited, and added that "editing sigs is more fun than answering my valid points" or something. I think that pissed the higher-ups off rather.

Lol.

I'm sure this post will be reported :P

Well according to Mark he doesn't care at all :o

And he kept goading Ian, calling him a "coward" etc., which wasn't very clever if you ask me.;)

That comment is different, as it's slanderous, the same as if someone called you a whore or something.;)

Well you called burkhas "blankets" and asked muslim girls to "break free and make a revolution", also said burkhas make women look scary and that it was ridiculous that women wore it just because they are told so. Some people can get "too sensitive" when you make fun of their traditional clothing even more sentitive when it's related to religion. IMO.

You are entitled to your opinion of course, as I am. I stand by any comments I made on that subject, as I'm sure anyone else would in my position. The discussion was based on a legitimate news article, and therefore was perfectly acceptable IMO.

It was clear there were two very distinct sides to that argument, and neither was going to budge on the issue.

Also, the vast majority of those making a big deal about it were the same old people with the same old "agenda".

Most "neutrals" were at least able to discuss it without getting unnecessarily personal and accusatory.

This is how it should be.

There have even been some guys on here in the past posting articles which "denied" the Holocaust ever occurred.

While I didn't agree with these views and many people would have found them to be deeply offensive, I still wouldn't have insulted them personally over them.;)

OH HEY GUYS LOOK

And some others were muslims as well, and sorry but one can't be neutral when you make fun of some religious thing JUST beacuse you don't like it or find it ridiculous.
