I Ate Jelly Babies.

Featured Replies

I've never had any before. They don't sell them here. I've wanted to try them for a few years now, and I finally found some in a local British grocery store that imports lots of candy.

And oh my goodness, they're the best candy ever! :cheesy: Sooo good. And unlike anything else I've ever had.

Someone pleeease start selling jelly babies in Canada! PLEASE!

I've never tried them before but now i'm really curious....and hungry! I need some candy! :bigcry:

They're goood. I had thought that they were a type of gummy bear at first, but they're not at all. They're sort of powdery and a little bit crunchy on the outside with soft jelly like a jujube in the middle.

And it's too easy to go through a whole bag in a hurry. :uhoh:

MMMMM, jujubes.

I srsly wanna try some now. Especially since sweets are sparse around here b/c of the dieting. :bigcry:

^That's because they're British.

Yup. The Queen eats them every day!!:D

Or at least The Doctor in his younger days... that's how I found out about their existence...

I used to always eat jelly babies when I was a youngster! My Grandma would always have them:)

If you're eating British Jelly Babies then please call them sweets. We don't do "Candy". :P

The Master had some in the series 3 finale, when the President was about to greet the Toclafane on The Valiant. Nice little nod to the old days :)

<edit> or were they jelly beans? I forget...

This is funny..... when I was in the queue at Wembley with Mel, Mich, Lori and Angie, I was getting the Americans to try the jelly babies I'd bought

I think the overall consensus was good :nice:

I looooove Jelly Babies. but is Bassetts the best or any other brand? I prefer the former I think. :)

Well Bassetts are great but to be honest I prefer "own brand" ones like Asda or Co-op etc.
