as several of us have seen members of the band and crew entering and leaving via that door (i.e. the black door to the left of that photo).

I agree... and that is 17.

Please don't start that again. It is definitely one of the studio entrances, as several of us have seen members of the band and crew entering and leaving via that door (i.e. the black door to the left of that photo).

Ā

I know pretty sure it isn't (number 19), because someone I know got that information from the real estate agent when it was for sale.

I agree... and that is 17.

Well if you're talking about the other (arched) door to the right, while I've never seen anyone leaving or entering via that door, another Coldplayer insisted he met the whole band there (I asked him more than once).

I very much doubt he was lying.

Anyway, the point of all this is, that comment was completely unnecessary IMO.

Whatever way you look at it, it is the wall directly next to the studio, it made for a great photo, and everyone there had an amazing time.

Anything else is irrelevant, and I have stated previously that I don't really care either way, anyhow.

It isn't even as if Nadia suggested it was the studio. She specifically said the photo was taken by the studio, which is undeniable.

Nearly everyone in that photo has now met members of the band in the vicinity of the studios, and I'm very happy for all of them.

In fact, the day after the boat trip when nine of us met Chris, Jonny, Will and Phil (with a group hug afterwards) was probably my single favourite moment of the year.

I'm sure it was for some if not all of the others who were there too.

Good for you! Bye!

^^ I wasn't referring to the arched wooden door on the corner at all, just the big black double-doors.

But it doesn't really matter anyway.

I thought you just agreed that the big black door (i.e number 17) was definitely a studio entrance.

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe it's the arched door (presumably number 19) on the corner, that's still in dispute, in spite of the fact Craig insists he met the boys there 12 months ago.

Anyway, this is going way off-topic, and I don't see why it needed to.

yes, I agree with that

I don't think there's much dispute about that one anymore; it was once a design/photography studio (Chapel Studios), but sadly the owner died so his family had to sell the place.

Ā

Well that's clearly how the confusion arose, then. On the day that Craig went there, the band happened to be in that studio for some reason, and it was clearly just some kind of bizarre coincidence.

I guess the arched doorway can finally be put to bed for good now.;)

Ā

Anyway, getting back on topic, I would say that of far more interest is how the meet-up ended up being split in two.

I guess we'll never get to the bottom of that.

Number 19 is not the studio![/color][/b] ;)

I met Chris right there on the 29 March 2011, we spoke for a short time before he and Will and Guy and Miller and Phil went through a black door with the number 17 by it. I am well aware of where the studio is but thanks for your input. :wacky:

Well as I had already pointed out, you had specifically said "by the studios", anyway, so I don't know what all the fuss is about.:dozey:

That was really a wonderful time, to meet all of you!!!!!

We should do it again!!!!

Despite all the occasional discrepancies that occurred in here, I really enjoyed myself reading this thread again. Five years ago... time flies.

Ā

There's nothing like the first time. I've visited London four more times since the meet-up, and I have to say: that city is not finished with me. Even though I like to think of myself as quite the know-it-all about London (of course, depending on what people I'm there with), it still feels like I haven't seen everything yet. I probably haven't.

Ā

Oh, look at me being all sentimental. All I'm trying to say really is that I don't think I would've appreciated my time being in London as much if it weren't for the people that had a chance to meet there. Carrie, Anna, Natascha, Pete, Vera, Peter, Sofia, Nancy: I miss you so much. :parachutes: Closeness has nothing to do with distance.
