If it's not one (of many) proof of global warming and rising waters, then what is??!! (for rising waters, ask the population who see the limits of the costs 'backing up' in south pacific) Geez, I can't believe that in 2009 with all the scientific informations we have, people still NOT believe in global warming.... :inquisitive:

I'm citing scientific information as my point! Average global temps are cooling, polar ice caps aren't melting, polar bear population is increasing.... I'm waiting for the "global warming"... Arctic mean temperatures have barely changed since the start of their records in 1958. The Arctic was in fact warmer in the 1940s than it is now, but cooled between 1940 and 1980. Remember kids the earth is flat and we are the center of the universe, don't think for yourself, they know best, don't challenge the status quo with thinking.

Ice core drilling in the fast ice off Australia's Davis Station in East Antarctica by the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Co-Operative Research Centre shows that last year, the ice had a maximum thickness of 1.89m, its densest in 10 years. The average thickness of the ice at Davis since the 1950s is 1.67m. There is a cooling going on in the ice caps. If they are correct and solar activity is more to blame and we will continue to cool, ice caps will grow and we'll be in danger of freezing to death. Arctic ice extent was 30 per cent greater on August 11, 2008 than it was on the August 12, 2007.

Attempting to convince me to have someone else arguing on your side is futile, considering two pieces of evidence both of you have given 2005-2007 2007-2008 To me suggests a natural balance of change within this time period. Two years they shrink, another year they expand.
